Thread: In Love with Anime

Pfff !! No... heh, sorry to sound rude. But 'Love' is such a strong word. One may find this anime character of yours appealing/attractive, but is it 'Love'? O_O The idea of 'Loving' an anime character is laughable. ^_^

Have fun loving a bunch of lines on paper that won't love you back. You can like a character, but loving a character to the point of "claiming" that character and saying that he's your husband or something is just pathetic. "Claiming" is one of the worst things about fangirls. That and making slash couplings that defy all logic.

Well, It really depends on the meaning of "Love" you use. I seem to recall the french of a half a million ways to express different types of "love".

Some peoples primary meaning is something like you can love someone when they can express those feelings back. Personally, It would really depend on your on feelings, but that doesn't change the fact she (or he) isn't part of reality (Thus shattering the hopes and dreams of millions of anime fans).

While I haven't seen this "Yu Yu Hakusho" (putting on my list of anime to look for, regardless), I'll bet the best way you could describe how you feel is that you are consumed by the person, eh?

No, I didn't say that. I wasn't calling you pathetic. I was calling the ones that have taken their fandom to a whole new extreme. There are fangirls out there that would simply fight others who have "claimed" their characters. Arguments and catfights just because a person says that a certain anime character like InuYasha is "hawt". That is what is pathetic (and a little funny, too.) Those that are obsessed with their fandom.

It is obsession not love i must say. lol anime obsession is worst than crack, once you are addicted you cannot stop dreaming with that anime character!
