I try to keep my decks between 60-75 cards, and I've got some pretty rare cards (Mind Twist from Beta, Lhurgoyf from Ice Age, etc.) There are more, but they're buried in a box deep in my closet, and I don't wanna go digging at the moment![]()

Awesome ^^ though I never really liked 40-card decks...too small for my personal strategies![]()

never played magic, but in other card games a small deck helps with strategies by allowing you to get crucial cards faster. is magic any different?

Depends on the strategy you're going with. For weenie decks and quick-fire decks it's good to have a sizeable deck, since if you run out of cards and can't draw on your turn you automatically lose. Then there's what I like to call Siege Decks, built around waiting out your opponent and letting him whittle himself away. Built correctly, I figure those decks could be reduced a good amount in size. There are cards that allow you to shuffle your graveyard pile back into your library, so that helps extend things a bit.

and then there are decks that absolutelly overwhelm without being too reckless. thats the kinda deck I play in all card games.

Yup, those are also good decks. I was never much of a strategist, though, so I usually just built decks and prayed they worked out. I'm something of a faith-player, I guess.![]()
