For all you Michiganders out there, if you find yourself with a day off in the last weekend in march or the first weekend in April you might want to head to Saginaw. Every year there is a percussion competition that last all day long. When I initially started going you just needed to play music well, now you have to be damn near an athlete as well.
The lines run the gamut from the young teenagers to the young adults. I haven't gone for €any years until last weekend. It has grown and I am glad to see something that has to do with the arts growing during a recession. The music is good and the choreography is awesome. It costs twelve dollars and is worth it. When the event comes around next year I will post a link with times and schedule.
