Metal Gear Solid (Series) Vs. Splinter Cell (Series)

Well Im a huge Metal Gear junkie. I have the McFarlane action figures. Well what game series is better? Personally Metal Gear could kick Splinter Cell out the 10th story window (no offense, SC is a great series). OKAY! Lets get down to the business...

Could you give the reason WHY you think it's so great?

Well for one: The storyline/plotline. The series has a complex storyline. Complete genius. 2: The characters are great. They have depth to them. Unlike many other games out there. 3: The series are like movies. They are fun and totally awesome games. Although Ac!d wasnt all that great... So hassun, do you like the games?

MGS, end of. See, Splinter Cell is just your basic "Hey, I'm a special ops guy, better do things for the government" Though the game did have some good moves you can do (Such as jumping down from walls, hanging upside down, etc). Though I only played up to the second one.

However Metal Gear Solid, the Storyline twists and turns more, the gameplay is hard, yet fun. Also it has a supernatural element added with some logical explaintion behind it. It also shows off how the Government uses people, it shows that soldiers are just pawns in the scheme of the political struggle. Sure, Spinter Cell may show this, but MGS elaborates this to me.

ill give you a reason WHY, 1:look at the graphics of it, cant get no better, 2: the stroyline is amazing, 3: the cutscenes are so original and unique its incredible, and the gameplay is 100x better than crappy Splinter Cell.

That's not what I meant Grimm Akumu. It's just that everyone is supposed to give a couple of reasons WHY they think one of the two is better.

Yeah I agree! The graphics in MGS2: Sons of Liberty are amazing! There are few games out there that even compare with the graphics. Even MGS1 had amazing graphics back in 1998.

an now... in june, on the 12th, we finall get wut weve been waiting for, METAL GEAR SOLID 4, the end of the series, lets see splinter cell even compare itself to that :gun:
