Thread: Music

I love music it helps me think, sleep, imagine what life would be like if it were like some of the songs I hear. It also makes me cry,laugh, and get over a broken heart. Sometimes if it weren't for music I think I'd go crazy. Music is a positive outlook on how things can sometimes be good or bad.

I listen to two kinds of music- heavy rock, metal and calm music like that of Enya, Dead Can Dance, ERA and other.
The first one I need to get me back on my feet and fighting, I get crazy when I hear Nirvana song "Smels like Teen Spirit", I jump around and scream till I can't take it no more. The second one helps me relax, it's good when I have to think about something, when I wish to forget everything and just dream.

Also music helps me when I'm writting stories- when I need to describe a fight scene, I listen to something heavy, but when I have to describe peaceful moments only calm music can help me.

Music has a great role in my life, I like to listen to music, becoming deaf would be terrible, and also I love to sing in the chorus, I feel so peaceful after singing, like right now (I just got home from a chorus show)... Nothing could alarm me now (almost) .

I think music has played a big role in my life as well. When you want to feel better your favorite song can calm you or you might have that song that gets your heart pumping for a big event or something. I listen to damn near everything, reggae is about the only kind of music that annoys me, and not all of it. I suppose clasic rock is my favorite, stuff like G-N-R and Pink floyd but I love old 80's stuff too. Stevie Wonder has a song I listen too while I'm sleeping, "I just called to say I love you" I remember it from somewhere in my childhood and it comforts me^^ My memory has bee going down hill for years (at least it seems that way) so music triggers a lot of memories I've forgotten about and I like that. Music makes you cry or feel happy, so it has a big impact on your life experiences. A life without music would be like a life without fun, it would just suck.

Because it's so awful, overplayed and over rated it causes you pain to hear it?

And music plays a big part in my life. Most of my favourite bands, (PHCP, Metallica, Bad Religion, Flyleaf) have made me think, made me feel and generally shaped me as a person...

Music moves me more than anyone could ever imagine. It's dangerous in that sense, because all it takes is a really good bit of film scoring for me to start thinking about giving up film and going into music - which is essentially what I always wanted to do, anyway. By now most of my friends are used to seeing me nodding or moving any time there's music, but people who don't me so well think it's freaky. Hahahahh.

The main thing I look for in music is the ability to evoke emotions. I like music that moves people. In the same way, the music I make is geared towards moving people... I haven't been unsuccessful in that area.

Japanese music for me. It's AWESOME! Japanese music is the same as american music but with different words as you can say.....
