Is it me or is every generation forever trying to get under each other's skin about how "oh the oldies suck" or "classical sucks"? I am really tired of it and was wondering why we have to do that i mean really i am 14 and i LOVE ALL MUSIC even boring stuff. there is a time and place for all music and my favorite time is always it depends on the mood i am in music will boost it.
I don't usually listen to the oldies, and yes, I think most of it does probably suck. However I can't say that all the oldies suck. Everyone has their opinion, most people don't like the music I like, so whatever.
I like to listen to all the popular 70s and 80s music. Its very cool to see the difference in music from then to today!
thats always what i thought but at my school i am a loner when it comes to music as it goes i love Betoven but hate Pomp & Curcumstance lol
Well, as you say, it depends upon the person's mood & taste, it's good to listen to old music every once & a while, at least for a change
Well my favorite movies and music are from the 60s to the 80s. Most stuff between that is okay, but thats the best in my eyes. I think it depends on your opinion of what oldies are. If it's Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen then it sucks ass. But if you have to count 80s ballads, Jimi Hendrix, and Queen then thats the best stuff out there.
And yes, I am tired of oldies bashing because new music sucks more.
agree oldeis bashing isnt right because a lot of good bands came from
60's and 70's canned heat and america are just great bands from back then
this new stuff really has no place because the music guys are hireing anyone
with a pretty face and no voice 90% of the time hell this so called new stuff
is more like remakes of classics which these new singers ruin.
