Death is interesting
'Mumford & Sons' and 'Florence + The Machine' are new-ish bands with excellent lyrics and a lot of passion in their music. Really great to listen to. ^^

Try last.fm. It will give you suggestions based on your taste in music. I use it all the time even though I have so much music that I like, and I always end up listening to more and more different music.
well, I don't like most of the new songs actually, so I still listen to pure instrumentals & oldies, try Stanley Jordan or Eric Johnson, they're v. old yes, but I still listen to those ^^
