whats a lucario?
Lucario is a Pokémon appearing in the upcoming Nintendo DS versions of Pokémon, Diamond and Pearl. Though it was speculated for some time to be a Legendary Pokémon
story line
Ash arrives at Camaron Palace where a festival is being held to celebrate Sir Aaron, an ancient hero who averted a war that was about to begin outside of the Tree of Beginning. At the festival, Ash competes in a tournament at Camaron Palace and wins, to become the "Aura Guardian" for that year. As part of the celebration, Ash is granted Aaron's staff, which contains his Pokémon companion, Lucario, whom Aaron had sealed before stopping the war. However, Pikachu is taken away by Mew when an adventurer named Kid attempts to put a tracker on the legendary Pokémon. Naturally Ash, with the help of Lucario, follows Mew to the Tree of Beginning in order to rescue Pikachu.

The fact that Lucario has a pre-evolution, sucky base stats, and is being used by a gym leader is proof that Lucario isn't a legendary.
Oh, and there is no game called Lucario... I assume you meant the movie?

What? There's already Meditite and Medicham. And also Kirlia's split-evolution in Diamond/Pearl is a Fighting/Psychic.
And... Lucario is Fighting/Steel, not Fighting/Psychic.
And with the right moveset, Alakazam and Mewtwo could own the Elite Four (somewhat) easily. You just have to watch out for those Dark-types and those Ghosts.
