Aight so I've heard of this new thing called New Rock, a collaboration of rock, and rap, now, I think this is awesome cuz it could bring everyone together, for example::: I've heard this everywhere....... "You can't spell 'crap' without rap"
now this has gotta stop man, I mean come on, I know of two bands with an MC, Linkin Park, and Hollywood Undead. Now, I hope with this new collaboration, more music can be made, FOR EXAMPLE:::: Collision Course, Jay-Z, and Linkin Park, everyone who likes either rap or rock has this song. Ludacris and Sum41 made the Get Back remix.

So what are your opinions on New Rock, and what do you think of this collaboration?

it's an insult to rockers everywhere. cRap needs to stay in teh ghetto where it belongs, it's not music. half the time you can't understand whats being said and that which you do promotes sex drugs and violence, it's the Worst thing to every happen to real music.

I need a hit before I care. A new genre doesn't matter unless it can put out a ton of hits. So my take on this "New Rock," or whatever, remains neutral at this time.

What? Rock never had music about sex, drugs, and violence?

Real music is felt fromthe heart. Rap, hip hop, and r&b is about rapping or singing about your life. And believe you me, they're doing that today. The problem isnt with the music.. It's with the society.

As for this New Rock? I'm enjoying it. Rock music has been incorporated in rap for a few years now.

and, and I can say the same about rock, for example System of a down I can't understand them sometimes, but I still listen to them, as for it being an insult, then, why are real good bands teaming up with good rappers. uhm, so I ask, NO DISRESPECT

and I agree with Kasai, you can blame it all on society, i mean, look back twenty years, Run DMC Grand Master Flash, Hudini, c'mon, its changed, society has to blame, but hey, rock has also changed, not greatly, but you know a small change

Yeah, sure, I like the idea. I don't really like rap by itself, but I do, like you said, like the Linkin Park/Jay-z song. I think that with the rock mixed in, it will bring more people to like different kinds.

heheh It won't really work out, Nu-metal came to existence thanks to many metal bands that wanted to try something new, i doubt if this new genre will ever get to the same position as Nu-metal.
