I'll have to go with offline for this one; some offline games have something most online games don't: plot. Though others do have a point, though: once you're done, you'd probably not play them again. But hey, that's what the other titles on the shelf are for. If you could afford them, that is.
I only play offline games. I'm quite too shy to play the online games and I need too much time to get used to a game and I also love to take it really slow when playing. Plus there are non online games that are really the type I like. I like games like Morrowind, in which you have to do missions, you have different guilds and organizations to join and in which you can climb as high as to be the world champion and the best fighter ever, with no possible competition (oh yeah!)
I play only those short silly online games, where none can see how I'm doing and I play them only when I'm very, very bored.
