That includes me. lol, I missed that part.. the movie was too long for me and so I didn't bother staying after the credits. It's entertaining but seemed draggy with too much talk overall it was just okay.
WARNING: This thread is bound to have spoilers in it!! So if you haven't seen the movie, DO NOT read through these posts (unless of course, you want to.)
Seeing as how this movie just came out, I'd like to know if it was to your liking. Was it what you expected? Was it more? What did you like most about it, and what could have been better?
I loved it. It was great entertainment and suspense all at once. Great special effects, and the audio was just amazing! The ending was awesome, they couldn't have had the movie end any other way. Especially AFTER the credits.
*Did anyone see what happened?
I suppose not, since many people are impatient and most likely wouldn't stay after the movie was over. Well, after the credits for those who didn't watch, it was ten years later and Elizabeth was with her daughter (who was ten) watching the sun set as Will sailed towards them.
It was lovely. ..Those are my thoughts on the movie. This movie is one of those in which you have to watch a second time to get things you couldn't get the chance to pay attention to during your first time viewing it.

i just saw this movie yesterday and i didn't bother watching the creds as we where running short on time and we wanted to get some food before yet again we went in to watch the second movie that we both had wanted to watch the weekend before hand but didn't get a chance 2 (we were idiots goin in for the second movie)..
anyway the movie was about as good as i thought it would be; it wasn't better than the first but it did rival the second one. i was a little disappointed in the amount of gags they put in there, i was hoping for at least 1 or 2 more than what they put in there since it was a long movie, but then again i guess any more gags then would just be out of place.
overall i loved the storyline to it, considering i didn't have high expectations as it is the 3rd movie in the sequel and most storyline's die out by then, but this proved to be the exception. however it seems that they have left the ending open for another possible movie, which is intriguing as i'm wonder how they are goin to do it if they ended up making another one since i heard about some disputes with the main actors.
Not really.
If you stayed for after the End Credits, you'd have seen the slight [addition].
The whole story with the Flying Dutchman, is that it needs a captain, no matter what. It needs someone to sail the ship and be a psychopomp; someone to lead the dead to their true afterlives. So when Will (Sparrow, actually) stabbed Jones' heart, he automatically became captain of the Flying Duthcman; only to have the same fate - to spend ten years at sea before being allowed to return to land for a single day..
However; Elizabeth's loyalty and patience "broke his curse", so at the end of the credits, it shows Will returning to land at sunset, meeting Elizabeth and his nine year old son for the first time; never to return to the Flying Dutchman again.
MY POST HAS SPOILERS, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MARK THEM, SO JUST DON'T READ IT IF YOU DON'T WANT KNOW, PLEASE! ^_^ (Just thought I'd add that, even with the warning at the top, to be safe lol)
I saw it, and I liked it, but I still think the 1st one was the best ^^; lol
@ white wolf - Daughter?? O_O I thought it was a son ^^; LMAO... But yeah, I stayed and watched, because if I spent money to go and see it I might as well see ALL of it I figure xD But wow... that was a daughter??
And I think dude101 may have been referring to the fact that Jack was gonna go off searching for the Fountain of Youth? Because I wouldn't mind a movie about that ^^ rofl
Wo shi zhen zhen zhen xi huan ni...
Thank you Equinn!! ^-^
I saw the movie today, including the scene after all of the credits, where Elizabeth was standing with Will's SON (yes, it was a son; look more closely). That scene actually sparked a long conversation with my mother about whether you would wait for someone on a deserted island, knowing you could only be with them once every ten years . . . That's devotion, mate.
I liked the fight scenes. It upset me that so many parents are taking their young children to this movie, though. For every battle, there are deaths; I think showing people being stabbed to a six-year-old desensitizes them to violence . . .
I was NOT expecting Will to take Davy Jones' place, but I suppose it was the only way to save him . . . I kind of wish they had found a way to unbind Will from the oath (I mean, they cut out his bloody heart!) or found a way to let Elizabeth stay with him. Oh, well . . . I never was one for romance.
Do you really suppose that a bunch of people running back and forth on a ship the size of the Black Pearl would really make it tip over? Hmm . . .
Son... whatever. If you realized, this all happens in the land of the unknown. Where up is down, and left is right. Boys are girls..@ white wolf - Daughter?? O_O I thought it was a son ^^; LMAO... But yeah, I stayed and watched, because if I spent money to go and see it I might as well see ALL of it I figure xD But wow... that was a daughter??
No, YOU watch the scene more closely! It was a GIRL!where Elizabeth was standing with Will's SON (yes, it was a son; look more closely).
Jack Sparrow goes insane every five seconds of the movie.
Ahh...i've just seen it last night and i gotta say... this time more comedy ^^
