I mean, it's still Pokemon. No matter what they add, you're still gonna level your Pokemon by battling trainers and leaders. You get your 8 badges, you fight the elite 4, you have an "evil" syndicate trying to do something bad involving Pokemon, and you run around in grass trying to catch things. Pokemon at it's core, has never changed, and the same goes for these new games. You can look forward to better graphics, new Pokemon, new moves, new abilities, new items, and better online capabilities. If you like Pokemon, buy it, it's Pokemon.

Btw, if you knew all of the Pokemon before Black and White came out, that's 493 Pokemon. That means since the original 151, you've had to learn 342 "new" Pokemon over the years, and you got over it eventually. You'll get over it again.

bleh, joy, :/ so itll be more predictable. the person playin haz a challenge, and a rival for the whole story and they get their startr pokemon, they travl and get pokemon and stuf and blah blah blah, and then they save the day. woopie XP like i said, PREDICTABLE. cnt they make a more challenging game that actually make ya want ta throw the game at the wall cuz u lost or u cnt get past a lvl. that wld be awesome in my opinion but pokemon is stll fun ta play

Predictable =/= boring. As you said, it's fun to play. So yeah joy, you can expect more fun. But yeah, you really wont understand why it's so much better until you play it. You also wont know if you find it worse unless you play it. Nothing you read here will let you know what you really need to know. That's gotta come from first hand experience.

Prices on Pokemon games (new or used) typically don't go down for a long time. Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are still about the same price as when it released. I checked a week or two ago because I broke my pokewalker and need to get Soul Silver for a new one. Pokemon Black and White are five dollars more than HG/SS. Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are cheaper and they range between $20 to $30 bucks.

So, I wouldn't bother waiting. You won't have it if you do. ^_^

How are the starter pokemon? I tend to not use them because they are overly powerful, and take some of the challenge from the game. I usually catch a wild pokemon in between the starting town and the 2nd town reached and use that as my main/starter pokemon.

honestly in the new one, I didn't find myself using my starter overly. I remember in Red my starter was like always 5-10 levels above everything else. In Black, most of my pokemon surpassed my starter in level about halfway through the gym badges. Starters are good to hold onto the first go around however, because until you beat the elite four, they're usually the best of their type that you can catch. Whether you overuse your starter or not is kinda the fault of the trainer, not the game. I like having a very balanced level team throughout (which takes a lot longer, unless you got friends who can trade so you get boosted experience)

In retrospect, I wish I had picked the fire starter, because there're NO good fire pokemon until you beat the elite four.
