Well I haven't played it yet but so I don't know how to use the Pokemon radar but as far as the shiny pokemon go it depends on the ratio. Usually its 1/8961 or something like that. Thats how it is in the older games but it could have been changed in this one. Most of it depends on ratios. I suggest looking up a online guide or FAQ to help you out or atleast get you started.
