Scenery is cool looking. My heart stopped in terror when I saw that it was done by Disney. (Considering the most violent they'll get is Pirates of the Carribean. And look how they screwed up Narnia. Which is what the background looks like.) Jake Gyllenhaal is just like....umm...why?

So all in all, I'm not shooting it down yet. If they limit the cheese and keep the action, it'll be fine. And also if Jake doesn't pull a Ben Barnes on us, we'll be good.

But in response to Halo. Leave it the f!!k alone, please. The fun of Halo was actually playing the game, and the game's realism, but freedom and fun at the same time. A movie isn't for that purpose. Just...no.

@ Poohead: Why Orlando Bloom? He really is too much a pretty boy. I mean, even if he was Paris in Troy, he was totally scrawny. And that saying something because Brad Pitt and Eric Bana aren't exactly body builders(they're kind of pretty boys too), and he looked tiny compared to them. The armour was falling off him. And he wasn't exactly a big action hero in Pirates, either. As I recall, his character pretty much was dependent on Elisabeth's.

hahaha, orlando bloom be the prince? he's a fairy, the prince is supposed to be a bad ass acrobat that bangs hot Indian princesses/empresses. I gotta agree with Artistic Anarchy, cast the prince as a nobody, not someone we'd recognize. The game isn't quite big enough that its film adaptation should be played by any big time star. If anything it'd make it worse, cuz we know the actor can do better, and they'll just seem out of place. The guy they've got is good enough, I wish they had kept Farrah though, not just some random hot Indian chick...and if that is supposed to be Farrah, damn, she's awfully different from the game.

What are you talking about? Halo's storyline was epic in the purest sense of the word.

Also, i agree with you on the affects, the trailer was typical in showing practically nothing, but if the movie fails due to effects, i'm gonna cry

Epic, possibly , but not greatly told.(Opinion does not mean fact let's remember...) Unless you count all the spin-offs really...and comics, et cetera, then it starts to be manageable. Erm...I'll not get debated over this, but for all practical purposes I'll say it was "average" for a shooter, as many shooters don't have amazing stories to begin with, with the exception of a few (Call of Duty, etc.)

Back on-topic, I also agree with the idea of an "unknown" guy playing the Prince. It seems better than a lot of the actors nowadays.
