I don't know but I...Wait I buy my games. Most of my games are 40-60 a while my oldest games were very cheap like well 5-30.![]()
I have an Xbox 360, and each game costs around $60, so the money starts to add up pretty quickly. I bought 4 games at around half price and have yet to pay full price for any games I purchase, but recently I've had a revalation; why don't I just rent games instead of buy them? That way I can go through a ton more games for a lot cheaper. So I traded in all of my games for store credit and for about a month now I've just been renting every game I play (with the exception of BioShock and Halo 3 which I will deffinetely buy) and I'm very pleased with my decision.
So, for all of you console gamers (and maybe PC) what measures have you resorted to in order to cut the cost of playing games?

Well if you think about it what if one day you want to play that game over again you would have to go back and spend more money to rent it rather then just have it and play it. You spend more money just renting then buying anyways. It just doesn't seem like it because it is over a long period of time that you pay for but if you just buy it it's like a one time thing and it's yours.

I have a friend that only bought used games or wait till they become a platinum hit or whatever it is called. Most of the time the games still work so unless you're a freak about having to own it new, then that's the best way to go.

'Cause someday I might call you from my heart
What do i do to avoid the full asking price well i buy some game at full price and there games i know ill be playing again, but most of the time usually try and wait till the price comes down on the game i want or buy it used at the store ,and if i cant wait that long i usually rent the game or games to save money.

i usally rent games from hollywood videos since the games r lik 60$ for the xbox and Ps3
You see, I just happen to be lucky. My sister works at a video rental store, so I get all my game rentals for free, well, until she graduates from college and gets a better job. But, even before that, I would only buy new if the game looked worthy of being owned. I love rpgs, so all final fantasys get bought right away. As for normal games that get boring after one sit through, I usually get the rental, and if for by some chance buy one of them, then they get taken back within the two weeks.
Of course xbox live games get kept, like halo 2, until most people decide not to play them anymore and it sucks trying to get a match in, then I go trade it in.

Because they have obtained that level they are arrogant. You have to kep in mind when you talk about these guys they are kind of dorks who probably didn't excel at much and this is their only outlet to flex their muscles. Their egos would suffer no less so the the forum suffers some more. Watch one way or another they will probably repond to this post with a threat. But there are better forums out there.
