A pretty sad tune I've heard is "How to save a life" by The Fray. I'm not much of a sad song fan, but the few I've heard have been pretty moving, and the song I mentioned is no exception. I recommend everyone here to check it out.

The saddest song I've ever heard was The Ghost Of You from My Chemical Romance. For two obviouse reasons: the parts where they say "You are never coming home" and "At the top of my lungs in my arms she dies" it brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it.....
