spoken word

Does anyone listen to spoken word? Do you have any to recommend? I like things inspired by the psychedelic generation or the beat era the most. I have two of Timothy Leary's albums, like those, especially "You can be anything this time around". I also really dig this guy: Rich Shapero Community on IMEEM who mixes primal themes with beautiful wilderness descriptions. I have "The Ram - Wild Animus" by him. It's kind of half music/half poetry, not sure if that really counts as "spoken word", but I view him more as a storyteller than a musician.

i ocasionally listen to it, when im bored or need a serious think about nothing. my fav guy of all has to be Jerome "J-Square" Jones, cuz he writes about contemporary issues and uses hip hop instrumentals to speak over and i bought his book called 'No Good N*gga Blues' and i read his writer block on his website
