Which is better when you play it? I think they are both good, but Expansion makes you lag on Battle.net, still Original has a lot of fans for it. Do you guys play and which one you like best? plus if you play it on Battle.net, am Delta78. whats yours?

I prefer the original SC, especially for single player.....the different units in Brood War can absolutely cheap out the game. Like, lurkers can just demolish a player early in the game, especially if the person rushes before you can build a science vessel, or observer or something. Same with dark templars....It makes the game a bit more difficult to play in multiplayer because you have to build everything at the same speed, you can't just focus on one thing....

And with the way people rush in that game, you don't even need the extra units of Brood War....five minutes into the game, and people will just build the first unit available (zealot, zergling, or marine), and then just storm a base...And if it's a 3v3 or something, and they tag team one base with a rush, you're screwed....

So I prefer original.....But when my friends and I get together we'll usually play multiplayer Brood War (he's got a bunch of computers hooked up in his basement, so we play online with those). My username is Chubz[DFWU], but I'm not on too often anymore...

brood wars for me...back then it was cheap because zergs and terrans can rush on ya but eventually that didn't work anymore.

LOL, and why not? eventually zerg are quick builders and faster at making zerglings and gathering minerals.

i like both versions. i usually play the protoss, and even though zealots cost a little more to build, they are really hard to kill, so i can usually overwhelm the computer right away in 1 on 1 games. plus it's fun to play them in brood war, get a couple dark archons, and steal enemy SCVs or drones. i can't ever really play online, so i only play against the computer. which is a reason i like brood war, for the free for all option.

BRood War is the one...Terran...Hands down can beat anything they protoss or zerg have...yeah I play skirmishes and such agains the comp...prety fun

Ahh.. an old game.. i like the expansion.. but i don't play it on9...
never played it on9... i was once a pro at this game.. but now i suck.. xD
