That's a question someone asked when I was playing a game. I think that that person was right. I'm thinking let's say of 3 doors down, Nickelback and all other bands (or even solo singers). What is your opinion?

People have been singing love songs since the beginning of time. Love is so hard to define, so it's an easy target for song writers to sing about. Not to mention love has undeniable influence and inspiration for a person. I don't think they've really increased in number during our modern times, then again, just how modern are we talking here?
Well yeah, bands often sing love songs...I guess it's an easy topic to write about, since everyone has their own personal experiences and feelings that they can put into their songs. And love has always been a topic, it's never gone away or not existed.
Well, I think actually that bands write mostly about feelings. I guess it wasn't a good topic...

mostly im hearing bands singing about how they get dumped by the girl of their dreams. @.@ i dont know lol
yes. love is probably a very easy thing to write about and then sing. it's fairly easy for someone such as myself, so it probably isn't a problem for pros.

From what I hear, yes. All love songs, I could have sworn that was mostly for pop, but oh well. At least not ALL of them are about love. We still have SOME variety, but it's dwindling...
Well, these bands are just a lil bit tired of singing nonsense, so singing about love would make these bands a lil bit popular. Take for instance guns and roses, they used to sing nonsense, but then they came up with "don't cry" which is a love song that was really popular back in the 90s.
