I have to agree. I like both, though I cannot sit and watch them and be quiet. I laugh at both because they seem so unrealistic to me.

Porn has retarded plots that rarely happen in real life. What pizza guy you know delivers sausage out of the blue sky?

Hentai? OMG, I laugh the hardest watching this. They get so into it and make those weird faces (the constipated face) and scream out like they are getting murdered for asn orgasm. It is so fake. Terribly and repulsively. Yet, I watch it for comedy.

You misread my point. I wasn't remarking on whether or not you like porn, I was using what you said to make the point that porn does not depict people 'making love' it depicts people ****ing or, a more scientific term, having intercourse. My point was that there is no love in what people in porn are doing; it's usually either for greed or lust.

also, hentai is just the Japanese term used to refer to any pornography depicted in animated, cartoon, or comic form. So even an American cartoon like, let's say looney toons, would be considered hentai. It's just that culture has shaped hentai to refer more specifically to japanese cartoons and comics since hentai is a japanese word afterall. if your statement on the history of the term and practice of hentai has any validity, i'd love to see where you got the source of your information.

Old Woodcuts (e.g.: by Hokusai) out of the 19th century showed surrealistic pornographic scenes. So even though those weren't animated, I'd say it points out that at least the idea originate a loong time ago. (: When hentai itself really started ... Dunno.

I saw this comedian the other day that said women watch porn so they can laugh.

Which is true in the case of you, myself, and a few other women I know.

There's not really much more you can do but laugh at some of the stuff that happens in those things.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm taking the "I love porn" stance. U.S., Japanese, Animated or Live Action, I got plenty of it. Mags and saved files mostly *starts to hum,"the internet is for porn"*

*shrug* Anyways, Princesslady has a point. A lot of porn does border on the comical, even when it's trying......to.....be....serious. (I had a hard time typing that.) A lotta the plots of porn do get ridiculous, as much as the overacting. It is worth the laugh though....

Either way, it's all entertainment, and I'm entertained. That's my point.

Another difference (or similarity I guess) is the voice actors. I know of a few well known Japanese voice actors that do both anime and hentai, like that lady who did the voice for Motoko (love hina) and Sakaki (azumanga)...

American voice overs are actually done by porn stars.
