Sorry i forgot to mention about the music............. after trying to create music for a computer game for my A-Level music tech exam. It helps create the atmosphere like in movies when they have a certain style of music to help protray the mood etc.
Really everything is an art building a house is art someone has to come up with a building plan the build part is takeing that drawing and makeing it 3-d.
Its like they say "If you can dream it, you can do it."
I believe video games are art. To me they are the most respectable forms of art because of all the tears, sweat, and blood that goes into them just to make sure the consumer has a good time playing it. Games include music, stories, and pictures witch are all forms of art, so it's just about impossible to exclude games as an art form.
They are the dreams and impressions of their face which they want to express. The concept arts are like the works in progress which some are beautiful. They would have the wonders of technology to create the darkest creatures to the most beautiful ppl. The games are works of art and of coz without them, we would not be able to have them as our wallies and siggies
There just as much as an art as filming or drama is. Many video games nowadays are getting more into the story-based styles, where you're basically playing out a book. It's great, and on the more technical level, there's programming, texturizing, and concept drawing all involved with making a game, all of which are arts in themselves. Yes, video games are very much an art form.

lol... why not? as long as it is done with passion and principles... i mean, i believe everything around us is art. your example could be like Martial 'ARTS' for that matter... they do not exactly portray visual arts like paintings or sculptures and such, but they are considered arts... so there could also be this art of killing, the art of doing good things to others and so on.... at least in my beliefs though... ^^;;Quote:
