Thread: what weapons do use on an RPG?

Swords more specifically dual katanas so I can be protected on both sides in case of a dual fight. . I would also use kunai or twin blades because of agility and fast kills..

one thing i am gonna have to say is that guns are not counted in this particular tally. they make any playing field uneven.

In Legend of Mana for the PlayStation, my character was a pro with the one-handed sword/shield combo. I could deal some rather wicked damage with my sword! That was, until I went to Nightmare mode and got violated by even the lowliest Rabites.

In World of Warcraft, my undead warrior stuck to using two-handed swords. Two-handers made warriors look awesome in WoW, plus the stat bonuses were often stronger and the damage was greater.

The RPG I'm mostly playing right now is Ragnarok Online. My two characters are a swordsman and a magician. With my swordsman, I'm using two-handed weapons as well. My mage only uses magic, but has a really cool (and expensive) staff equipped to boost his damage. The type of magic I use is mostly ice-based, and my favorite spell is Frost Nova.

i wish i could play online RPG's but the only one my router allows is Runescape... any RPG's btw, just to get to know what pplz like to play as. the weapon tells more about a warrior than anything else. and a gun is for skillless sissies.

I used to be a sword only kinda guy, but I've been playing FFXII recently, and the poles are the best. They are powerful, and offer up so much more evade than any other weapon. I can take down enemies that are far stronger than my party, because I very seldomly get hit. Those poles are awesome.

don't just list. for one thing a list doesn't tell us what your favorite is and another thing is that you are now breaking TWO rules.

Well, usually I don't care about weapons, in an rpg it's all about the story for me!

But usually I choose swords, well it depends on the game really, some games I choose staff for the magic, but some times it's easier just to use the sword!

Definitly swords. Espesially Great Swords. Also dual-wielded daggers. My reason, I just think it looks cool :P, plus, on most games, the sword is usually the most balanced weapon (Correct me if I'm wrong, please). I don't like huge slow weapons, plain and simple.
