Thread: what's your favorite square-enix game.

Yes.

That's pretty much it. Square-Enix is the only reason I own a PS2. My personal collection is mostly square-enix games.

As for my favorite, I would say it's a tie between FF 4 (PS) and FF9 (PS). I truly understood the greatness of gaming the first time I played FF 4 on the SNES (back then it was FF2). It was a great game that totally remains my favorite for nostalgic value. FF9's presentation style reminds me very much of FF4, so that's one of the reasons I love it so much.

I do have to give a nod to Dragon Quest VIII. I have not enjoyed a game like I did DQ8 in years...literally since FF10. I've never been a huge DQ fan but this game has totally changed my mind. Best game of the year in my opinion. I am so looking forward to DQ9.

But in short, yes. I like all square-enix games. Trying to choose a favorite is like trying to choose which one of my kids is my favorite. I love them all equally for different reasons. But I would say it's FF4,9, and Dragon Quest. We'll see about FF12 when I finish it.

I love most of any Final Fantasy games they come out with, I also did love Breath of Fire they did well until they stopped making them

And who can't forget Secret Mana I spent loads of time playing that with my friends.

In short I hope Square Enix never ends and they continue to create great games!

I really liked FFIII on super nintendo. FFII was better in my opinion because it was harder and had a better storyline. I mean I liked Kain so much that it is my son's middle name. But in newer times I really like FFX and I am playing FFXII right now and so far it is really good too.

So I guess it's FFII for the old and FFX for the new. I have also played Drakengard I and I thought it was a fun game to play. Not alot of replay value but it was alright for a one time thing.

The old school Super Nintendo games like FFII and III and the secret of mana games were all good. I know I am babbling but Square makes a lot of great games.

I totally forgot about my all time favorite game...I can't beleive i did that but all the talk of Final Fantasy put me on that track of thought. Xenogears. Xenogears is my all time favorite game and I have played it a million times because the storyline is so good and the game play was fun.

But that game takes the place of any FF game in my opinion. Too bad they screwed it up with the Xenosaga games.

I like the Final Fantasy series(I know it said games but I can't just choose one) from Squaresoft because they are intersting to play. As for Enix I never played any of their games.

my favorite square game would have to be Xenogears on the ps1. it would have to be my favorite because i had never played a rpg like it before (and id played all the final fantasy that had came out up to 10 when i played this game) and dont know if i will play a game like it again. cause xenosaga just wasnt up to par with it.
