If I'm right all even a bit bigger officers should be real-life characters. Atleast
most of them has biograph that you can look in game. Like Shao Yun is
real and important historic character. And most of battles are real too.

That's Samurai Warriors. The same game but the setting is Japan instead of China.
Unsurprisingly, the characters of SW are also fantasy versions of real/legendary people.

Alot of Japanese games are based on real historic figures and rulers...I can't say the same for American games, lol
