Aside from Hassun's post, all that i'm seeing is a bunch of biasness with no real reason. I.E. I don't count cause he's awesome as a valid point.

I think the main reason why not many people here like Virtua Fighter is because it is TOO realistic in the sense that the fighters are modled after actual real life people which means their movements are restricted to a point, whereas others like Tekkan and DoA are much more free with how their characters move. That adds for a more fun experience for the player as it runs on borderline fantasy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm also a Tekkan, BUT Soul Caliber takes the cake!! ^_^

I'd vote for Tekken just because it filled my childhood with arcade fighting goodness. Plus, I'm just horrible at Street Fighter.

Well, Tekken is basically THE fighting game that I grew up with but I've tried practically every single one released here in Finland. And, like the majority here, I DO think Tekken is superior to Virtua Fighter but then again, both DoA (opinion NOT based on boobie bouncing, mind you) and Soul Calibur offer way more intensive fights = more fun.

But as far as the original topic of this thread goes, it's a clear win for Tekken. I am not taking reality, technique or any other irrelevant thing in consideration, just how fun the game is to play
