Thread: Who is your Idol?

It all depends, I obviousy love and respect my friends and family. My true idol, somone who I sincerely admire and respect, would be Daniel Ilabaca, the worlds most reknowned free runner. His moves are swift, his style is fresh and unique. No one could master his flow or perform frontflips like he does. It would be an honor to run with him someday. =)

I can't really choose just one, but out of all of the people I idolize, Yann Tiersen and Alan Moore are probably the biggest ones.
Yann Tiersen, who composed the music for the movie "Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain" (known more commonly in the U.S. as "Amelie") is definitely worth some esteem. His compositions are absolutely beautiful.
Alan Moore, who wrote "Watchmen" and "V for Vendetta", is arguably the best graphic novel writer of all time (not including manga, of course). His characters are incredibly well-developed, and his story lines are amazingly intricate.

I guess I would have to say it would be Kenny Florian. He is a little fighter but extremely tough. a he always perserveres. His heart is that of a true champion.

My idol is Bert McCracken, lead singer of The Used. He is a great vocalist and his screamed vocals are awesome! However, he's my idol because he has had quite rough times in his past (he lived on the streets at 16, and his ex girlfriend died from an overdose while pregnant with his child), but he always gets through it by writing songs about his problems.

My true Idol would have to be my father aka dad; even though the only love i might say he expressed toward me was harsh and at sometimes a bit cruel, he taught me how to value life, and the those things that i have, and not for the things i desire. He showed me how to be grateful even for the littlest gifts for Christmas, and taught me that hard work builds character in a person...

I have a different outlook on life because of him

I can't really say I have one, but perhaps for those who inspire me come close. I can't say any individuals. It comes in waves. I'm more motivated by those who produce the music I love so much because my life revolves around it. I also am inspired by colors all the way from angry to calm.

I'm just an artist

My idol is my dad. I do have the three heroes, clint eastwood, akira toriyama, and billy joel that are listed in my thread "The three handshakes," but I look up to my father the most. He is just so kind, yet so tough. I am glad to be his son.
