Thread: Xbox 360 Elite

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't really see any point in having a 120GB hardrive! Maybe at a push, 40-50GB if you use it for storying loads of Music, Movies and Downloads, but even then it's over-kill. Looks like the PS3 is really starting to make Microsoft crud themself Not only that, but a Black 360? Isn't that now considered heresy?

I know something that I wont be buying anytime soon; no wait; ever!

well before these details were released i was looking forward to it
because the original 360 makes so much noise and gets hot as hell
but now ill stick with the premium that is out now
this is way to expensive i was hoping on the same or lower price
as the premium is now and that the console will get a price drop

but i guess that is to much to ask when the ps3 posses no threat
and the wii well the wii just keeps on trucking but is so cheap
that people who have a 360 will buy a wii to
the wii really is a side console but besides that its still awesome
and sells like mad

the ps3 still has time to recover, jeez. It's not like it's been a year yet.

Anyways, 120 gb for $200 does seem a little ridiculous. Isn't it normally like 80 or something?

I would get the thing, but I don't really mind the noise on the premium, and mine doesn't get hot that often if ever, so yeah. Don't really need it.

Why does everyone always assume that the PS3 poses no threat? What, because some of the most anticipated games wont' be out until the end of the year? So? That doesn't spell doom for the PS3. You guys forget that Sony sunk 2 BILLION into the PS1 before the every saw a dime of profit from it. And the ended up MAKING 5 BILLION off of it.

So, the PS3 will take time to start...no big deal.

As for the Xbox? Good for them. I'm not intrested in a 360 myself but if they are willing to fix the 1st gen problems and add a bit of an extra (console HDD's always cost more then non-console drives) more power to them. I'm sure it will be successful and it means I can get a 1st gen cheaper at a pawn shop if it turns out that I really have to have the really cool Mistwalker games!

Yea, I've been watching this subject for a while. I agree with Hassun, Microsoft really knows how to piss/rip off its customers. No one really even needs a 120GB hard drive unless you've downloaded every show and movie on Xbox Live which they all suck anyway so I can't see why anyone would do that, but at least if they release this thing the prices of the core and premium will go down making them that much more appealing to gamers. But that is the only pro to making this "Zephyr", everything else is just a con - literally...

^_^ well i guess it's something to consider if you haven't gotten a 360 yet... and if you know a rich jerk who'd spend that much for the upgrade...

I don't know of anyone whao has that game cause I hear it's pretty expensive,but from what I've seen of it on tv it seems like alot of fun to play.
