zelda the movie trailer

The legions of fans who played countless hours of ZELDA games on various Nintendo consoles have long been waiting to see those sprites and polygons turned to flesh and blood -- so they will undoubtedly be thrilled that a "top secret" live-action movie has been in the works!

IGN has an exclusive look at the trailer for the movie, which seems to have selected relative unknowns for the cast. The filmmakers have also given an appropriately "gamey" look and tone to the settings and FX.

The story follows young elf Link who undertakes a quest to recover the shattered Triforce and rescue the titular princess from Ganon, the "King of Evil". See it in motion below!

OK well its kinda obvious that IGN cant make a movie but definfitely a well done fake..

That's the best April Fool's Joke video that I've seen in a long while. I'm quite curious in how many rupees did IGN shell out to make this lovely joke.

Well i love zelda so i will be there watching but it looks kinda of gay not to be rude but it doesnt look like they did a good job on it and Ganon looks dumb and the triforce looked like plastic but i will see it even if it looks bad because i love the games think how hard and annoying it would be to make majoras mask into a movie .

I have to tip my hat off to IGN, that was pretty darn good for an April Fools joke. All gaming sites should put this much effort into their April foolery! I think they had a pretty convincing Zelda and co., after all, they managed to fool people with it. Before I watched it, in the back corner of my mind I was a third wondering if it was real, a third wondering if it was an actual trailer, and a third wondering if it was just going to be Matt or Bozon running around in a green tunic with a sign saying "April Fools!".

Although Nintendo would never let anyone make their precious into a movie, it does have me wondering about how good it would be if someone actually made one....and if Link would be totally silent for the entire movie. An epic fantasy movie with a silent protagonist, it would be brilliant!

Well yes i read it and saw the video but still im saying they did a good job and it makes me still think its coming out but no way would the makers of zelda make it look crappy like that and it would be hard to think of a storyline really for it becuase in the games you have to get so much weapons and things so it would be really hard to make the movie anyway.

Well there were rumors about Nintendo making a few movies but nothing is definite. Even if The Legend of Zelda does become a movie, it will have to wait a few years.
