Yes, as u said there are bigger fish in the sea that could take on Gaara no problemo! But what he did to rock lee is very brutal!

that may be true but garaa is stil cooler cuz he doesnt even hav to move wen on his defenseive side except for the time when rocklee totaly kiked his butt !!!

gaara is a very brutal fighter when he was young he killed to so zabuza....i have nothing to say about itachi though gaara can not match Mr.Blind (Mr.Blind i who I call Itachi) But gaara becomes way stronger especialy in the 2nd movie

tsk tsk, Gaara is overrated when first seen. He almost got owned by Rock Lee and was only saved by the sand. He got freaked out by seeing his own blood after sasuke's chirdori and then during the battle of the monsters. Naruto still knocked Gaara out. and then there's still the Atasuki incident in the village of sand, which i cannot mention since it's considered a spoiler.

Still in the second movie gaara summons a sand god you gotta say "that is kool"

YA IT IS!!!
but I have a question: if gaara lost his powers over sand would he be able to fight?
my thought is that he has never had to learn any other skills besides those that deal with sand, so if he were to lose that ability I don't think gaara would have a chance.

gaara could prob kick but without sand because just by a simple shoulder nudge tamarie went flying (ignore me if i spelled her name wrong)
