Naruto appearance?

Whats with Naruto isn't he supposed to be japanese? So why does he have blonde hair and Blue eyes?

ok well anime doesn't have to mena that they all look like japanese people. Honestly there are animes with elves in them... do they look japanese? No person is born with that in japan but in anime anything could happen because its a cartoon. i'm pretty sure if u watched enough anime, you would have noticed this a while ago

i think it's to give the people in anime's a different look so you could tell them apart. i mean if all the characters had the same color hair, skin, and eyes it would be a lot harder to tell them apart don't you think. plus naruto's hair is so cool like that.

I don't think Naruto's based in Japan, or even in this world. From what I've seen, the map of Naruto's world looks more like a altered version of China. Plus Japan started trading with the outside world during the 1600's from what I've heard. So there could be a few blonds, brunettes, etc. out there.

It make him stand out, emphasizing the fact that he's fiffrent from everyone else. Or just to make him more annoying. it also reflects his personality. Bright, loud, and hard to miss. Could be a bunch of diffrent things. But I think those three about sum it up.

Well none of the characters really look that japanese at all as it is. So naruto having blonde hair doesnt surpise me at all.

i agree that naruto having just about the only blonde hair in the show was probably ment to make him stand out. plus, take a look at bleach, or negima! ppl just dont randomly have orange or blue hair! its all up to what the author wants them to be.

agreed! the blonde hair really does make him stand out more than others

It is really something to make them more unique and easily recognised.If all the characters look like one type of people,then it is diddicult to tell them apart.
