Well, I still think Gai is stronger than Kakashi for many reasons; He is way faster than Kakashi, he has developed an effective counter against Sharingan users: by focusing on their feet, Guy can both predict the movements of the enemy and negate the Sharingan's necessity of having eye-contact for genjutsu techniques, he can open 8 inner gates & he is fully capable of using ninjutsu and genjutsu, besides his super moves such as Dynamic Action
Dynamic Entry, Front Lotus, Hurricane Blade, Interception Technique & many others!

Other thing: Kakashi's chidori has a major drawback
That's why I don't think Kakashi is stronger than Might Gai!

Well, even though Guy is not as cool as other characters, he adds some kind'a flavour to the anime .. well, if they would make him more serious & give him a better look he would be the best character

I Say Gai Sensei. Cause He Does Indeed Have Chakra But His Tiajutsu Can Demolish Everybody.! And With His Gates Open Niether Beyakugan Nor Sharingan Will Keep Up. Cause Kakashi Had Trouble Following Rock Lee With 2 Gates Open. So Gai's Have To Be Fairly Stronger In Comparrison. And Also Kakashi Is Probably Dead. So He's Outta The Picture. Gai Sensei Is Juss Remarkable.! Juss Like Lee.! :D

Too bad most of the people don't realize that Guy is one of the strongest characters in the series & a true genius, but we can't ignore those characters coz they add flavour to the anime & I agree w/anyone who says that Guy is the strongest Jounin
