It has to be kakashi's departed father. He was as strong as the lengedary sannins.

I guess it depends on what you mean by strength. If your talking sure physical strength and Taijutsu, then I think Gai is probably strongest. If your talking strength in Ninjutsu techniques and the application of those techniques, then I think that Kikashi would be stronger. As for overall, the last time I was aware Gai was in the lead as far as their competion...........

But there are alot of shinobi that we haven't gotten to see much of, or atleast I haven't seen much of. Though Asuma, is kinda becoming one of my favorites

The strongest jounin......hm, i've never really thought about that before. If i had to answer that, then it would most probably be Kakashi - before and after the time skip.
Though it may be debatable regarding the strongest jounin after the time skip.

well i because i 4got that sakumo was actually a jounin then he would have been the strongest, but since he's dead kakashi is still the greatest konoha jounin

kakashi would be the storngest jounin in the leaf village he has copyed over a 1000 justu and he is still copying moves so he will beat anyone in the village. maybe might guy could stand a chance.

I believe as well that kakashi is the strongest jounin. he has copyed over 1000 jutsu, hes always competing with gai, and to match gai he can go gates.

I think Shikamaru's father also is a fine candidate for the title. He's not necessarily the strongest, but he's definitely the smartest. The guy's smarter than his own son; going as far as doing something that Asuma could never do: beating Shikamaru in Shougi.

Kakashi wins hands down. Tsunade AND Jiraiya both said that he was a sure win for the next Hokage if something ever happened to Tsunade. Can't really beat a Hokage candatite. (sp?)

kakashi is very strong and has the sharingan but i would have to say the hiashi is stronger he has beter taijutsu and he has the byakugan that my not be beter after the time skip but with the sharingan not being kakashis i just dont think he is beter than hiashi until after the time skip and even with gates it is still a toss up who would win out of guy and hiashi but i think it hiashi is most likely to be da best.

Kakashi is ~!! his new mangekyo sharingan is totally awesome

and i agree with you...complete control of jutsu's and the ability to copy them at sight..

not to mention his cunning and his ability to read the situation and react to it real fast... ^^

he is ok but his new shurrigen is so damn cool but he would be the best if he can use the white chakra.
