Yeah but I'd say Sasuke had it worst of all. Having known what it felt like to have a loving family (you never truly appreciate what you have until you've lost it), and then to watch as your loved ones are murdered by a loved one. That's sick and twisted, and what's even more painful (if that's possible) is the real reason behind the massacre. No wonder Sasuke's mind is so screwed.
Edit: although I'll have to say, Gaara's childhood was very messed up as well. He was also betrayed by the one person he trusted.
