Kisa fell down, exhausted. She had fought so many of them. She was tired and so....
She stood up.
The man smiled. "Wanna have other round. You could just give me the shard and I might let you go."
Kisa's eyes narrow. "I'm not giving this up. It's......"
"You don't even know what it can do for you, do you." He sent a demon at her....
'This world is trash. Cursed by the Fon Master...'
"Wow Hector. A lil brutal don't ya think?" I stare at the dead deer. "By the way, I'm Nozomi. So, we heading back to the camp or just making a fire here?" I look at Hector and think to myself 'Why does he look so...ehh...attractive. Something...whatever.' "Well?"
"We go back." Hector starts dragging both deer back to the camp, holding them both by the necks with one hand........"Nozomi, eh? Huh. what's with the two of you having dog ears? I've never saw that before. On anyone."
"Well, Hector, I am a Half demon. My Father was a WOLF demon and my mother was a human. My Father decide to raise me and...trained me how to fight and everything. He died a little over a year ago now, protecting me." I look at the ground and sighed. "So my WOLF ears are because I am part WOLF demon. Im not a dog. So please remember that. Or I'm gonna have to throw ya around a little bit to help ya remember." I smile at my small joke.
".....I see.......me and demons don't get along well at all. Killing them is my life." Hector gets to work on dressing the buck, bringing out his large knife and cutting the deer open.
"And here I am, chatting with a couple of half-demons, heh, must be getting soft or something...."
"Well think of it this way, I'm only a half demon. So meaning I'm also half human. And anyway, don't worry, I focus on helping innocents, not harming them. And until you prove you are evil, in my opinion, you are a good guy. So that means we should get along." I smiled at him. "So...tell me, why did you devote your life to killing demons? Not every demon is bad, I know this because my father devoted his life to helping others."
"It's all I know. Let's just say.... I grew into it." Hector cracks a smile," Can't do anything else. Those that hire me tend to be as afraid of me as they are of the demons they hire me to kill.
I'm usually not welcome anywhere I go, it's just that they think they're smart for pitting one monster against another. Turns out, I'm good at what I do."
Hector pulls the guts out of the buck, then throws the viscera hundreds of feet away.
He gets started on skinning the deer......
"So...Did you know anything about your family?" I faced the ground and stared at the dirt.
