Thread: The Warriors Within at Heart RP

She nodded slightly at his question, following behind him. An odd character he was. Though she agreed not to lurk his mind, she felt an intense vibe bouncing off him. He seemed gloomed.

"What's your story?" she asked suddenly, as she watched him staring into the deep blue pools.

"I'm not sure you'd like the tale..." said Thorn.

He resisted no longer and jumped into the water. It flowed from his body. He felt refreshed.
He got out of the water and dried off. Sitting on the bank of the river.
"It's getting dark." He said.

"My Story,.. where to start? Well I lived in a small town called Talon. One day I was out playing, and I heard something. Distant first, but the sound grew. I ran home and my parents were killed by some men wearing dark glasses. The rest of the town? Burned. Everything, gone. I sat their for a few days, until my sensei Leu Sou found, and raised me. I learned, under his wing, Tai-Chi, and how to weild a pole staff. My final test? Kill Leu Sou and become my own teacher. I lost control... couldn't stop.

I passed..." Thorn began to cry deep inside himself, as not to show her.

"That's sad. Having to kill someone for somewhat of a gain," she gave him a symphetic look, wanting to give him a hug.

"Like you, my parents were killed. But I watched their death. Limbs breaking by clubs, screams of pure agony as my dad was set on top of a spear, slowly piercing his body in half, my mom burning..." she shuddered at the memories. "I was 5 at the time. Not knowing at the time- we'll skip that part. I escaped and after a few months I met a clan of 'people' like me."

She debated whether or not to tell him her ability.

He listened to her story in disgust. To people, alone in this sick world of ours.

He looked at her face and noticed she hadn't said all she wanted.
"I don't need mind reading to see you aren't telling me everything..." he said, scared of what she was hiding.

Where were the others he dreamed earlier. Had it all been just a dream? Just a coincidence she came when she did?

"She!?" he thought I still don't know her name. She'll probably pry this question from his mind.

She laughed nervously. "Yeah... Let's just say I can become man's best friend, Thorn. You'll find out sooner or later. Actually, in the next few days. It'll be a full moon."

'He..?' she remembered a vision of a guy. Same dark hair, lean but muscular body... Well, this was going to be interesting.

"Man's best friend? That's all?" Thorn asked, relieved.

When the moon's out... the best time to train. Thorn stood up and began walking toward the shallow bank. "I'm going to hone my Tai-Chi skills. You're welcome to join me." he said to her as she sat on the ground,

He stood in the water, cold on his now bare feet. He practice basic techniques from Form 23 Tai-Chi; Cloud hands.
A series of movements. "Pon." outward strike. "Lio." inward pull. "Ji" Wrist thrust forward. "Ang" Move like a cloud, and strike forward to chest with palms.
He repeated this sequence many times, until perfected. He moves like a cobra, each movement slow but beautiful, then a thrust of power.

"Pon, Lio, Ji, Ang...
Pon, Lio, Ji, Ang...
Pon, Lio, Ji, Ang." he muttered to himself.

"Yeah, if you know what I mean," she winked.

She got up from the ground, brushing the dirt off her knees. She pulled her dirty-blonde hair back and started climbing a random tree. Swinging limb from limb, exhilaration filled her as she got to the top of the oak.

Hazel watched Thorn in curiousity. She realized shortly that she was subconciously scratching her ear.

"If only he knew," she murmered to herself, "But he will find out soon. I hope he takes it well and not weird."

Hazel sometimes thought of this as a disease. A good-for-nothing curse. She held her cresent moon locket in her hand as she pondered deeply into her thoughts.
