Could we have guilds, trade unions, universities, and engineers, just to name a few? It'd be nice if we had even just some technology in this storyline.

basically for Locke there are universities and guilds but the technology is not a bit advanced but magic is the one that powers the world. atlantis and locke are the two main cities involved in the beginning of the story and Demon's Den will come in the story as Zyta's character starts to manifest as well as Lich's character. Atlantis other wise inspite of the advancement the population is quite small. you can all add to the idea here so that this will be a rpg collaboration instead of just one thread starter . oh and i may still have a way how the story goes so checking the ooc thread is a good idea before posting.

perhaps a place where you can train different beasts for either companions or mounts. or both.

Don't worry; late medieval technology isn't that advanced. Although we might want to tweak it a bit for our campaign setting though. Wouldn't be interesting if we got too historical now, would it?

Oh, and we might want to throw in some politics into the mix. Maybe we could start with feuding guilds or trade embargoes or something like that... On land, that is. Watching the plot develop to see how those'll figure out with Atlantean problems should be interesting, in my opinion.

politics is part of the story so that will be part of it all suggestions i won't mind as long as it does not change the whole idea of the story

Are there any religious groups or organizations in this, maybe some that go against the existing powers, or who are trying to force believers would be interesting side events or something like that.

you mean like a Knights Templar kinda thing? i agree with trustworthy here, i like this idea.

okay why don't we do a mix here kinda like the council of atalntis (being the iluminatti ) vs. demon's den ( knights templar) version since politics is one of the reasons for a power struggle in a story. i like the input. thanks
