The Demon Lands Character Thread

Feudal Japan, the Demon Lands, is in a state of dismay. Demons and evil thugs are running amok killing innocent people and stealing for others. With a certain demon pulling all the strings. No one knows how or why, they just know his name...Xion. A being with great power, terrible, but great. With him in control evil shall keep growing stronger and stronger. With evil growing stronger the righteous and chilvalrous people are becoming harder to find. With Xion in control of everything, people are losing their homes, belonging, and worse, their lives and freedom. No one who has seen him has lived, so no one knows much about him, other than, his adept ability at controlling everything in the backround. With his 2 lieutenants, Xlyn and Ryu, people and demons alike are giving into slavery and evil. All the good and chilvalrous people can do, is wait and pray, help comes soon.

A wise seer had a vision that Japan is now in need of 6 special warriors, and any willing to help the cause, to shift the balance back to good, where people get along and no longer are controlled Xion and his minions. Will you be one, willing to help this cause, and restore balance, to all that is right?

Priest(ess):Mainly the healer, uses mostly staffs or bows, has intense knowledge about herbs and demons, can remove curses through praying, and can purify demonic artifacts.

Monk:Mainly hand-to-hand fighter or stave fighter, usually has great knowledge of sacred sutras and demons.

Swordsman(Swordswoman):Great with swords, can block most melee attacks, usually fast(depending on sword)

Assassin:Usually really fast and quiet, doesn't tire quickly, but can be defeated easily in face to face combat, usually uses blades or bows.

Thug:Usually a Hand-to-hand or knife fighter, tends to be strong and sluggish, and usually fights dirty.

Spearmaster:Usually uses spears, but can use and polearm(Poleaxe, ect.), accurate at hitting, quick thrust, not to strong.

Bio: Her father was an assassin and he decided to train her everything he knew. Her intense training started when she was 8 years old and she has mastered her fathers fighting style and abilities. When she was 16 she surpassed everything he father expected of her. Now she wanders around slaying vile demons and protecting the innocent.

Weapon(s): Astral Blade, Wooden Sword, and a Dagger.

Both the Astral Blade and the Wooden Sword are of the same length, shorter than an average katana, a slightly heavier hilt, plain with no special design running down the blade. With a user touches the Astral Blade he could feel its power connected directly with their life-force…

The Dagger is well hidden, never kept in the same location on his body for too long.

Kind of armor: No body armor, simple cloth, and bracers for both arms and legs; though he does wear a cloak made from demon hide that keeps him warm when it snows, the cloak is rather heavy for a human.

Ability(s):

Fast and agile don’t even begin to describe Alkron. His speed is comparable to a falcon’s death swoop in mid-air, or the swiftness of an antelope on the grasslands of Africa. His agility is as keen as a cat on the hunt, his reflexes are top notch, second to none which allows him to move in ways seemingly impossible, twist his body in incoherent possibilities. This does, however, leave his physical strength something to be desired for. Stronger than a human, weaker than a demon and most half-breeds in comparison; he makes up for the lack of strength with his cunning knowledge of the body and utilizing his opponents movements against themselves, if all else fails. Normally his victims never get a chance to see his face before their demise is lurking at them from behind the gates of hell.

Being a half-breed, Alkron has the unique ability, like most of his kind, to control both human and demon energies. His demon half is weaker in energy damage, but is quicker to apply in a battle and automatically saves him from most poisons. His human side is quite different; for one it is much harder to call upon for his human energy is like his direct link to his life whereas his demon energy is like borrowing the energy from his natural surroundings. His human energy has more potential in both offense and defense which also gives him an incredible desire for survival.

The Astral Blade is rumored to be a weapon of the Gods. Its powers seem endless, even Alkron, Master of his Blade for many years, doesn’t fully understand even a small percent of its power and abilities. What he has found does kindle a fire in him to delve deeper into its mysteries; The Astral Blade gives Alkron the power to see the threads, the very fabric that hold everything together and, with the blade, to sever to threads. This results in the absolute destruction of whatever he cuts the threads of; once cut, a thread can be repaired, with time only. Not only physical properties apply to the Astral Blade, even the unseen threads of magic; as the invisible wires of magic contort around their caster, seeable only to the caster, with the Astral Blade, Alkron could see the threads as well and sever them at will.

Invincible as the Astral Blade may seem, Alkron has a code only to use it in 1. Life-threatening situations, or 2. If something tramples upon his own twisted sense of morality, such as eternal damnation with chains, he’ll set the man free and then kill him so that he may find peace.


Personality: Alkron has a twisted sense of justice that even he doesn’t fully understand at times. He is both cunning and a very in-depth thinker if an occasion desires it. Extremely smart in battle, he is like a tactician that oversees a battle and thinks on the best set of options to counter his enemy, he never sets his mind on one outcome; in battle he flows like water, he must, if he wants to live. He has an unshakeable desire to live, eve going as far as biting off an arm, or both if he knew it would allow him to live later. He’s cunning, cynical, and generally acts like a full on jerk most of the time.

Bio: Much too long, it’d be easier to learn about him in the RP.

Appearance: Shoulder length black hair with a few silvery threads of hair running down from the top to the back bottom like intricate rivers among the blackness. He is built like a human in most respects, so much that it comes to the point that he is often mistaken for a human. His build is different than usual; his muscles appear to be in hiding and don’t appear unless he is physically moving in an extreme-like manner. He stands at an average height of humans 5’11”. As said previously, he wears a cloak, but underneath the cloak is a traveling vest with most of his important, small possessions such as healing leaves, poisons, small, one-handed weapons like daggers, and paper, written text of his next targets. He wears baggy pants, but tight around the waist so that his pants won’t fall ff suddenly. All of his clothing is faded dark blue in color. On his hips are several pouches that include a wide assortment of items that will be revealed at a later time. Beside the pouches, on his left hip, is his Astral Blade. Just below the Astral Blade is his wooden sword.

Ability: by making various deals with other demons he has gained the ability
to steal the souls of his victoms and gain there strengths(if they were fast he gains there speed,etc.)

Personality: twizted been know to play with his victims and torture them

Extra Details or info: He is also called Gambler on the account of how he choices to take his victims souls . He calls his blade Kuro Ko meaning dark sin, he made the blade hisself using a fallen meteor as the base it has the symbols of the wolf tribe he beleives he came from. He choices wether to take his victims souls or not by fliping a coin, if it lands on the plan side he will just kill them, if it lands on the side he scratched out he will take there soul when he kills them. Also, he is never completly human he always has his claws and teeth out at all times and show he is a demon by displaying his superiour speed, agilty, and strength.

Bio: not much is know about Ryu's past, what is know is that he didn't know he was a demon until his 12 birthday when his "parents" were killed by bandits, they went after him when he turned to his demon form and killed them and bathed in there blood. The rest is unknown and it seemed he disappered until Xion found him and made him one of his lieutenants.

Appearance: while in "human" form he looks human from a distance when you get up close you see that his eyes are yellow, his hair a flame color (his hair goes to all the way down to the end of his back), and his skin his a moon color white

Dagger of Arcana~
A magical dagger formed from hate and anger. Xion uses this dagger to help focus his magic. He does not need it to use his magic, but he cannot control it as well as he should meaning it could be overpowered or underpowered.

Long Sword of Pain~
A long sword that will apply a non-lethal, but very painful poison if cut or scratched. ((I think you should avoid this lol)).

Hidden poisoned dagger~
A poisoned dagger put in one of his boots. The poison is non-lethal, but it slows your reaction time down and eventually puts you into a coma unless you get healed or recieve an antidote.

Hidden short sword~
A short sword that is hidden under his cloak

Hidden poison dart~
A dart that he keeps in his bracer. Only its tip is poisoned. Its poison is lethal and will kill the person it hits if the poison is not mostly removed, or the antidote is not taken.

Vanish:
Becomes virtually invisable.
Usually uses this to flee or stalk his targets.

Fire wall:
Focuses his power to create a 10 meter long 5 meter high wall of fire where ever he wishes it to be. He can't use this ability to excess because he will tire out.

Personality: Cunning, smart, decieving, deadly
