KI MASTERS

Story line: Set in an age not very much different to ours, is a world where Martial Arts play a vital role in lives of many. Of all the techniques performed, Ki or life energy manipulation became the most exploited. Wide was this ability, that every martial artist can wield it by hard training, both for healing and for attack.
Ki must be not used constantly in a single fight, as being the lifeforce of an individual, it could have fatal effect on that person.

In this world are seven major cities, each bearing a name after an animal of shaolin roots:
Hyo City (Leopard) Suki Natikaro(Student),
Tsuru City (Crane) Tsuroken:Suzakuyo Benjiro(Student),
Tora City (Tiger) Toraton:Arthur(Sensei), Callen (student),
Saru City (Monkey) :Hotaru Wu(Student)
Hebi City (Snake) :Amano(Sensei),
Kamakiri City (Mantis)
Ryu City (Dragon) Ryuton :Anon (Sensei), Xikru (student),
Each city has a Dojo, where one of seven sensei teach. Their students are taught not only in anything goes style self-defense, but also in the training of manipulating their ki, based on their will and thought. Such moves include channeling ki into harmless items like cloth and wood to make them razor sharp or solid enough to break bones, create illuminations like attacking beasts or even self-healing.
Another aspect of all the dojos is that each one, not only has their fair number of students but also ancient sacred scrolls placed in their care.

The dojos are at constant war with each other due to a long history of rivalry between them. Because of this and the fact that the scrolls should not fall in the hands of a seemingly immortal renegade sensei, Annual Trials are held one generation after another, pitting the schools against each other.
The students and sensei will fight until their individual dojo becomes victorius, in which they would fight among themselves until one is left standing as the new sensei or as some students affectionately call Ki Master.

But every story has to have a villain and that is the renegade sensei who seeks power, which can be found in the scrolls that the seven schools have.
Planning on killing the sensei and their students to achieve this power, the villain runs a dojo of his/her own, located five kilometers under the earth's surface. The scrolls alone harbour a very dark secret.
The students would deal with their coming of age life stories, as they prepare for the 6th Annual Trials.

Characters that can be chosen are Students and Sensei.
Also, recruits that post the name of dojos in their chosen city first would have that as the official name of the dojo.

RULES:
1.No spamming or unnecessary chat.
2.Human characters only.
3.Characters may have a history, but still need to be in tune with the story.
4.No use of magic or supernatural powers. Ki is the only acceptable power.
5.Be creative in moves, whether Ki or physical.
6. Imaginative (Anything Goes) Martial Arts styles are allowed, though keep them human so it physically can be possible to perform.
7. Objects can used as weapons depending the character fights with them. But instant kill weapons like guns and arrows are not allowed, which makes the game more fair.
8.NO GOD-MOLDING OR INVINCIBILITY!! Characters are human to the bone and could have their weaknesses and would pain whether hit, kicked or struck by a Ki Fireball.
9.No killing off characters unless permission is granted by that character's creator. The bad guys would do most killing. But if a character is going to die, make it look good.
10. THE GOLDEN RULE:Have Fun.

Weapon: A sharp katana for protection.
Ki Technique: Bloody Death (Attack): This attack is so powerful that you finish off your enemies in 5 seconds. Death Blow (attack): This attack is a weak attack, but it can kill eventually. Blood Ritual (Healing): This healing technique heals any wounds inflicted upon oneself.
Bio:Ketaro-kun as a child started training to become the greatest martial art master in the world. So, far he runs his own dojo where students can learn the arts of spying and killing without mercy those that inflict terror and destruction to the peace of the world. However, ketaro-kun also has his dark side which he is trying to supress in order to live in peace.

Daniel219, if I well understood the concept of this RPG, you will have to try to make him fit in one of the cities and have him at some point in his life be an apprentice/student of one of the dojos, so you can always adapt in your background story the passing of your character in one of these cities and have him grow from this experience, though you can always have him join afterwards another RPG and use this experience to your advantage, or leave this part of his life out if you think things didn't go well enough.

Though the RPG creator has final word, so I'll let him word it out

Anyway Daniel219, after looking at your mentioned character's profile, I have to be honest. He would not really match as a character in Ki Masters because although he's belived to a human inside a suit, he pocesses some spell-like powers which is a no-no in the rules.
I don't think the suit thing would cut the mustard here either. No offence.
He also manipulates events which would be confusing.
He also sounds like a one-man-army character, which is also not allowed since I think it's fair that every character should at least mortal and definitely human.

The conclusion is that this character is much better off in another RPG or better yet, his own rpg.
If you can think of a human character that can fit in Ki Masters, you're more than welcome to post the profile. Your selection includes either sensei or student.
Don't worry, this is a first for me too.

Ketaro, you have the right idea. But there are improvements that I think can be made.
Such as the role of your sensei character. Is he the Ryu City Dojo Sensei or the Dark Dojo sensei (who is seemingly immortal as I've mentioned), that has lived or resides in Ryu City?
Descriptions are needed for your fighting skills, like for example, a double legged high kick somersault or your char doing a mid-air spinning kick and puch combo.
The same can be said Ki moves. Now these moves can take many forms like whether your char shoots a single ball of ki or the ki takes shape of various things like arrowheads, daggers or even animals like dragons, birds, lion heads etc.
Other Ki moves can be like the following examples: A single shot Ki comet that multiplies into three in mid-flight or a hot Ki shot that changes to freezing temperature to trap or disable an adversary.
Please let others know what your fighting is like, as fighting styles can identify an individual, much like fingerprints.
To my knowledge, the bad guy wants everyone else out the way, the most. The school rivalries are not really like a bloodfeud, but more like "we're better fighters than you and we shall prove it, even if we do some serious damage". Know what I mean?
I'll add the neutral choice in for Sides.
Also, please give detail into the character's appearance and personality. Simple descriptions like Average, very handsome or very fat won't do.
Distinctive features, hair, skin & eye coluor and clothing are very important, so anyone playing, auditioning or just reading would have an idea of the character in their heads.

Martial Arts Moves: 1. Fiz-les-loo( the energy of an opponent's attack is redirected back into their own body.)2. Kaio-ken ( fighting style is to remove one's internal limitations and allow a greater yet more-controlled flow of ki to exit the body.) 3. shadow leap(runs at the enemy ans hits him but at the same time the real body kick him in the head.) 4. Tiger defance( hits the point in the body stoping the ki to flow the right way.)
Weapon: hailbrid.
Ki Technique: Light of healing- as long as there is sun light when use the body will heal automatic but if the light is men made only half way. Tigers claws- the ki forms tigers clwas about 6in long but has range if 2 feet. Spears of the forgotten- any spear like weapon takes the ki and makes the weapon brune when it hits some one.
Bio:His family died in a fire when he was 10 and since then lived on his own. he has been a student for 10 years, he one of the best and has become a sensei. Only has a couple of friends he some what trust. His family was a middle class so he never had much and somes time couldnt get money for food.

Daniel219, Some characters can wear masks whether you want to remain on or can be taken off, it's to add some mystery to a character.
If you don't want to come up with a new character, then recycle your own as long as you can make fit into this universe, then that would be OK.
Technique description is vital since anyone can have an idea of what is happening. The specialist moves only really need the describing. Check out char's MA (Martial Arts) moves and you'll see.

Appearance:Lavender eyes, Short smooth light chestnut hair with little crest sticking at the front and streaks of yellows at the side, pale-skinned in face, long-legged and normally has a pleasant smile, which turns determined when in battle. His clothing includes a golden ring around the neck sporting five feathers, A white long-sleeved shirt with a small orange phoenix logo on the left side of the chest, dirty orange fingerless gloves, dirty mint green trousers and black sandals..
Personality:Usually laid back, nature loving and pleasant, but when in battle, he can be focused and very ruthless especially when gaining the upper hand.
Hobbies:Orinithology (the study of birds), Martial Arts training and hanging out with fellow students.
MA Moves: 1.Crane Foot Jabbing (runs and leaps at opponent either from front or behind, and delivers fast stomping)
2.Talon Takedown (runs and dives at opponent from front or behing, the arms and somersaulting over the body, taking it along and ending with a slam.)
3.Graceful Bluff (Caporiaia like movements delivering kicks and punches that don't connect, confusing the opponent. However, a real kick or punch occurs midst in the confusion)
4.Crane Spiral (Leaping in the air and performing a downward drilling double kick)
Weapon: Feathers around his neck. Though they're used for healing.
Ki Techniques:Screaming Eagle Flash (Creates a Ki ball which takes the form of an eagle of energy, roughly the size of a normal eagle, which is shot at the opponent)
Flock of the Arrow Birds (An advanced version of Screaming Eagle Flash, where an even bigger ball of ki (the size of a truck's wheel) is produced and a swarm of bird-shaped arrowheads fly from the Ki ball, decreasing size as it empties the arrows)
Angel Pelt Cure (Takes a feather from the ring around his neck, channeling Ki into it. Then, taps the feather's point onto the injured body parts, injecting the Ki to heal the injury)
Bio:Originally from a wealthy family in Tsuru City, Suzakuyo' father feared that his son would be spoiled rotten and not become a better person, so he entrusts the Tsuroken senshi to take the boy under his wing and train him as one of his students and prepare for situations such as the 6th Annual Trails were the school's honour would be at stake. Whilst there training, Suzakuyo maintains his still friendly nature and fascination for feathered life.

Ki/Chi/Aura colour: Shades of Brown and Green and a hint of red

Appearance: Small and lithe, the dull colours of her dark green blouse and brown pants keep unwonted attention away from her. She occasionally dons a traditional dark-red Chinese outfit for night outings The first feature most notice, her eyes are bright yellow, resembling gold, and always hold a mischievous glint. With lightly tanned skin and oriental looks, She can easily be mistaken for an outsider, but is of a pure Chinese lineage. Well endowed, with high cheek bones and thick charcoal-black hair that cascades down her back in layers, she can manipulate her looks to her advantage, to buy over any man, with dirty thoughts of course. she is nimble on her feet and just the way traditional Chinese like it, her feet are dainty

Personality: Though a fun-loving female, she generally keeps to herself, only opening up to several fellow Dojo mates and close friends. Hotaru is wary of placing her trust in anyone, but once she decides to do so, she would be loyal to her friend until a situation pushes her do otherwise. Beware though, when she is pushed past her boundaries of calm and into anger. she can be very aggressive when provoked, and will not hesitate to inflict any hurt on those who truly wish her harm. But under her seemingly cold exterior, lies a heart of gold. Hotaru will never hesitate to help any in need, willing to plunge her life to respond to a plea for help, be it to heal someone, or save another from bullies. she is also impulsive at times, more so when she is angry

Hobbies: Hotaru regularly takes frequent trips to the forest to observe wild life, their contribution to nature and the way they defend themselves or attack another. She also collects plants specimens to learn more about their properties and how they would benefit others. Singing is also a favourite past-time of hers, but only unsuspecting passer-bys have ever chanced upon her while singing

MA Moves:

1.Primate Chatter. Manipulating her voice box, she would produce a series of disconcerting chattering-like noises (which can be altered to suit her needs) to throw her opponent off concentration. At the same time, she would be leaping around in a seemingly random manner before taking the opponent by surprise with a sudden leap into the air, spinning thrice in quick succession to gain momentum and finally swinging her leg to hit a soft spot, neck etc.

2.Twisting Confusion. First leap towards the opponent, and when inches from them, twisting muscles to change direction. All done in rapid succession to confuse the the opponent. When it is least expected, aim for the spot and don't change direction at the moment, before repeating the process again.

3.Subtle Loss. When attacked, instead of retaliating, defend. When the opponent is exhausted and expects no retaliation, dart in and hit them hard in the stomach, for they will lose their breath.

4.Tactless Fighter. Just leaping into the fight with apparent thoughtlessness and using both hands and feet to attack the opponent. [hand - neck (in hopes of paralysis). Feet - legs (sweep them off their feet) / Stomach (force them to double over and be vulnerable to attacks until they recover)

Weapon: Whip

Ki Techniques:

Monkey See, monkey Do. Ki that takes multiple forms of unpredictable monkeys of different sizes, the larger ones would first attack from all directions and the smaller one would follow suit to inflict damage

Fingertip Absorption. All living things have Ki. Ki that has been collected for her benefactor - nature, will be gathered at her fingertips, or occasionally when she has no other choice, selectively from a group of healthy living humans who can afford the lost of Ki. After which, she would direct the Ki to where it is needed.

Darting Plants. Ki take the shape of thorny yet deceptively beautiful plants, and fling thorn-like darts at unsuspecting people

Bio: She had been abandoned from young and turned to the forest for refuge. Everything that she had learnt, had come from interacting with animals that had grown close to her, or by observing the animals as they went about their natural business. She had a tight bond with the monkeys in the forest, for they were most alike to humans, hence her monkey-like abilities. Then nine, she was chanced upon by the Master of the Saru City Dojo while collecting food reserves. The Master took her in on account of her affinity with monkeys and was aptly named Hotaru, for she had a disconcerting ability to move quickly from one place to another and lit up the world of the older folks with her gentle care. However, none but herself knows her name. Or knew her name, for the years in the forest had limited her speech. And even though she had quickly picked up neccessary conversation skills, she never quite remembered her real name, but only her surname. So far, she is still only a student of the Dojo, but aims to be the sensei one day.

So by the way, Cartoon King, if anything is different here, do notify me. I spent a lot of time cutting down on the number of letter/spaces that I used, and I can't quite remember if I took out anything from my character sheet itself...
