Though I’m making a RPG based on an original Anime Series, I prefer to change some details but the story goes the same way. The characters and the turn outs will be depending to the process of the RPG itself.
A large scale lot, Shogun type houses, splendid landscape seems like in an ancient Japanese type town at a first glance. Birds humming in Cherry trees, it was spring nearly that time. Cherry blossom seasons are coming. The whole place will be filled with flowers once again.
The place is almost perfect to anyone except for the only one fact that is hidden through the years in this beautiful place. It was the private ground of Family CHIHOROU (鈴木) , they are thought to be one of the greatest and wealthiest family in Japan. They also comprises a very pleasing appearance, despite all this it’s this very one secret that they toke good care all their life. Each one of the family members carries this burden from the time they are born until they die.
Thirteen members of the family are possessed by the 12 animal spirits of the Chinese Zodiac ("Jyūnishi" in Japanese) and the spirit of the cat who was left out of the Zodiac according to legend. They transform into animals when hugged by the opposite gender, when they are under a great amount of stress, or weak in any way (such as being sick). This burden is passed to generation to generation until one day an unexpected event toke place at very place. A girl comes upon the Chihorou’s area in the forest in which she lives temporarily is the home of one of the considered Zodiac bearer. When the Chihorous discover that this girl is living in a tent, they are quite surprised by her inner strength. The entire area is Chihorou property, and this girl pleads to live upon the property in her quaint tent (affectionately dubbed "her castle"). Feeling sorry for her, and desperate to end their days of filthy living conditions, the Chihorous offer her their spare room in exchange for cooking and housework(knowing they’re all boys in the house, that’s why they cannot work in the household that much). When her tent is buried that night in a landslide, burying her mother's picture and school clothes, she has no option but to accept. Soon after she moves in, another Zodiac bearer(Cat) comes to challenge the Zodiac bearer of the Rat who’s also living the house where the girl used to be. And the exciting and funny turn outs tend to start over that night.
Conditions you must keep in mind:
A. In posting a message
*In posting a message in the thread, your post must be at least one paragraph long(at least 150 characters long). Your post must be relevant to the topic. If you’re not really certain what should you do inside the RPG read the AO rule for RPGing (for you to remember).
B. Questions, Comments and Suggestions
*if you have some Questions, comments and suggestions, just kindly PM me. I’m an approachable person so you don’t need to worry. In case you wanna make some love teams, add some romance to make the story chill, why not??? Just PM me first so I can see what I can do.
C. Character Profile:
*Character profile, though mine will be different and there are some that is added. If you can see, The family members has this definite birth year to fit the Chinese year Zodiac so that we can identify which Zodiac sign are you. Here are some things you must put attention:
Rules in profiling:
1. Animal Zodiacs are good only for one person, so better hurry up to get one Animal Zodiac.
2. People who do not have Zodiacs will also play an important part in the story so no worries if you don’t have a Zodiac.
3. The person who will going to take the role of the girl must be qualified (just PM me if you want to take it and Ill see if you fit the role).
4. If your planning to get the role of the Cat, you can just put any year you want since the Cat dont exactly have a Zodiac year.
Zodiac your taking part:
Birthdate: (must be the right year of the Zodiac)
Abilities: (Intelligent, strong, resourceful…)
Weaknesses: (Limit to 2)
Bio: (background story)
Ill just add the list of Zodiac signs in the later part.:deal:
Re: Fruits Basket

Re: Fruits Basket
ok, ill PM you if ever this RPG will be approved... We'll just wait for the others to see..
Re: Fruits Basket

Re: Fruits Basket
Basically Fruits Basket is about Sohma family, which is, if hugged or touched of their opposite sex(not a family member) they turn into their respective Chinese zodiac signs. For example, Yuki Sohma (RaT) which is born in the year of the Rat, whenever Tohrou(heroine in the anime series) accidentally hugged or bumped him a thick white smoke will popped and after the smoke vanish the prince like Yuki is now a cute little white rat.
There is also some cases that if one of the Family members of the zodiac get depressed or somewhat down, they turned into their animal form.
Now, I have mentioned the cat as one of the animal zodiacs in the upper post. That is because in the anime series the Cat is included as major character knowing that the cat is originally not included in the Chinese Zodiac. Just like the Family members who is born to the original Chinese Zodiac, the person who is born in the year of the cat also transform into a Cat when hugged or touched by their opposite sex. But the person who is born in the year of the cat is considered by the other family members(especially the higher ups of the family) as Bad luck/Black sheep to the family(but not necessarily as the antagonist).
So how about that?? is that enough to giv u a bit insight???
Re: Fruits Basket
yeah it did.but i think you have to add templates like the otheres have in the ideas, before this is approved....but i really don't know.
Re: Fruits Basket
I’ll just make a list of the Chinese Zodiac and some descriptions for you to have some insights in each Zodiac Signs. I also put the years, so no worries.

People born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric, and bigoted, and they anger easily. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. The Ox is a symbol of powerful individuals with unyielding and stubborn personalities. Those born under the sign are natural born leaders who typically succeed when given the.
• Year of the Tiger
1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998
Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however. Other people have great respect for them, but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority. As the fighting animal, those born under tiger's sign are sensitive, aggressive, unpredictable, charming, emotional, courageous and capable of great love.
• Year of the Rabbit
1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999
People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. They have a tendency to get too sentimental and superficial and to avoid conflict and emotional involvement.
• Year of the Dragon(Seahorse)
1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000
People born in the Year of the Dragon are healthy, energetic, excitable, short-tempered, and stubborn. They are also honest, sensitive, brave, and they inspire confidence and trust. Dragon people are the most eccentric of any in the eastern zodiac. Those born under the sign are considered intelligent, gifted, bossy, loud, garish, and unfaithful, but also popular and successful, full of vitality and enthusiasm. They usually look stubborn on outside, softhearted inside though.
• Year of the Snake
1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001
People born in the Year of the Snake are deep. Snake people are often quite vain, selfish, and a bit stingy. Yet they have tremendous sympathy for others and try to help those less fortunate. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are very independent and rarely listen to advice.
• Year of the Ram
1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003
People born in the Year of Ram seem to be, at first glance, better off than those born in the zodiac's other years. But ram year people are often shy, pessimistic, and puzzled about life. Sometimes clumsy in speech, they are always passionate about what they do and what they believe in. The sign suggests creative, artistic, passionate, elegant, warmhearted, honest, charming but pessimistic, timid, disorganized and vulnerable. Too much dependent on material comforts, they are quick to complain and do not respond well to pressure, but will find their own natural solution to a problem when given space.
• Year of the Monkey
1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004
People born in the Year of the Monkey are the erratic geniuses of the cycle. Clever, skillful, and flexible, they are remarkably inventive and original and can solve the most difficult problems with ease. There are few fields in which Monkey people wouldn't be successful but they have a disconcerting habit of being too agreeable. They want to do things now, and if they cannot get started immediately, they become discouraged and sometimes leave their projects. Although good at making decisions, they tend to look down on others. Having common sense, Monkey people have a deep desire for knowledge and have excellent memories.
• Year of the Rooster

They can be selfish and too outspoken, but are always interesting and can be extremely brave.
• Year of the Dog
1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006
People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. Those born under this sign are honest, quiet, intelligent, generous, stubborn, loyal and faithful to those they love. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. • Year of the Boar (Pig)
1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007

Rat people are usually considered aggressive, ambitious, suspicious, and power-hungry, honest, generous, quick to anger and prone to spend freely. Those born under the sign of Rat are imaginative, charming, and truly generous to the one they love. However, they have a tendency to be hot-tempered and overly critical. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful.
• Year of the Cat
A long, long time ago, God decided to invite all of the animals to a banquet. He sent out word for all of them to come to his house the following evening.. "and don't be late!" he said. When the mischievous rat heard the news, he decided to play a trick on his neighbor, the cat. He told the cat that the party was the day after tomorrow. The very next day, all of the animals lined up for the celebration. And the rat led the way, riding all the way there on the back of the cow. Everyone had a wonderful time Except for the foolish cat. Who missed the whole thing.
At no time in the history of the Zodiac has the cat ever been included among the twelve animals. The cat has been shunned by society for thousands of years and yet, it still yearns to be accepted.
Re: Fruits Basket
I once tried to get in a Fruit Basket rpg, but that didn't work and it faded into obscurity.
Hope this one doesn't share the same fate, because this sounds good.
I could apply, whether this rpg will be accepted or not.
