    Mythological Mechwarrior

    I have decided to see if I can get an RPG up from ideas I used in tabletop. This RPG is based on the Mechwarrior game originally designed by FASA. But in this one, there are: mages, psis, priests, Rosecrucians (more on them later), and just about any other kind of Gifted you can think of. No one character should be far more powerful than others to begin with. There are also alien races: Change children are natural shapechangers that either look like humans or animals, the Lizak surround themselves with holograms to look human but are actually star spanning lizard people the vast majority of which are pacifists, and the last main group is a race called the Battle Beasts based off of the figures of the same name (they came about due to one character trying to kill off many of the animals he saw).

    The year is 3027 thus the Clan Wars have not started yet. In fact, people have no idea that the Clans even exist. There will be one VERY powerful character to deal with in the game. You can choose to work with or against him. This is where I got the idea for Fang (Underworld), only this is a more mature and older character.

    it's going to be a kind of mixed setting. if you want to fight, that's there. exploration, go for it. you can do just about anything in it.

    I'm in as well as I am another Mech Warrior gear head like gamemaster and know tons about the univers. Although this is different then the actual MW, but for technical stuff such as mechs I can help out on do to the fact that gamemaster and I have been talking about this for a few days now and the mechs seam to have not change from their originel MW story.

    I should make a list of mechs avalible during this time period and see if I can find images of them, or draw them up my self and give their over all stats. My MW4M game should help, with all the mech packs I have downloaded for it, it should come in handy for basic tech information. It may not have all the mechs, even though I have 200+ mechs on it. So if I do this don't expect it to be done in one day. Also I think it may help if you guys did some reserch in on some of the factions that are in the story. The only things I can tell Gamemaser is changing is that he is some how adding in magic and alien races which people can do with what they please. The factions you mite want to bone up on are...

    House Davion of the Federation Suns.

    House Marik of the Free Worlds Leage.

    House Stiner of the Comen Wealth.

    House Kurita of the Draconis Combine.

    House Liau of the Copellen Confederation.

    Star Com.

    Gray Death Leagin (Merc)

    Wolfs Dragoons (Merc)

    Noth Wind Highlanders (Merc)

    Kell Hounds (Merc)

    Avoid annything having to do with the Clans as they don't show up till 33 years later. Now you don't have to look the factions up, but it will help in getting you in the over all setting but know it will require a lot a of reading. But you should not need to read past the 3027 in the factions history time line which should save you a ton of time.

    Also a word of note. Mechs in the MW series dont zip around pulling off high G acrobatic moves like what you see in most Mechas. They behave like real machines and obay the laws of physics so it is really realistic. Now they are fast and agile, but dont think you you can do cart wheels with them. They are not powered by super robo crack.
