Organized under strict rules and regulations, Zoid battles are fighting competitions held on huge battle fields using mechanical combat units known as Zoids. There are many types of zoids. There are also many types of battle fields: from the hottest desert to the deepest jungle. There are teams that use these zoids to fight. There is usually a sponsor or someone who pays for the upgrades, and then there are the actual combatants that fight with their Zoid partner. The team and their zoids are held either in a mobile transport or a main base. Some teams have one of each. There are about five pilots per team, but only 3 are allowed in a fight.
Rules:
1. No more than 4 people to a team.
2. The Zoids: Liger Zero (and all its forms), Berserk Fury, Ultrasaurus, Death Stinger, and Death Saurer are all off limits. I reserve the right to add to this list as I see fit.
3. No God-moding or power-playing.
4. As soon as I think up more I will add them. Until then, have fun and don’t be stupid.

Here is a good site to find a Zoid you want. If you also know of another site, feel free to tell me. If you have any ideas for a Zoid (seeing as they are mostly based off animals) just PM me for approval. But you will have to design it yourself.

Battle Modes click to show spoiler
0982 - This battle mode means you can only fight with a stipulated number of Zoids, and there are no restrictions on weapons and arsenals. This is the most common battle type.
0983 - Basically the same as 0982
0988 - "An old fashioned shoot out limited to long range weapons." Six shots a piece, the only way to win this battle is to take out the opposing team with the six shots you have, or to draw them into close-rage combat.
0973 - Battle mode that limits the battle to Zoids that are not airborne, often taking place in confined areas (such as an abandoned city).
0992 - A one-on-one match with no restrictions whatsoever on weapons and arsenals.
6690 - Shooting Challenge, used in arcade games. Allowed mid-battle entries into the fight.
0999 - Backdraft's battle mode. There are no rules; there are no rules whatsoever. All you have to do is win.
0990 - The ZBC's equivalent to 0999, but with some rules for safety etc.
1001 - The Royal Cup. Held only once every 4 years and is open to all Class A teams. The first to earn 5 wins, locate, and make to the hidden goal is the winner and is promoted to Class S.
Battle Judge - Enforcer and regulator of these battle modes (except 0999).
Dark Judge - Backdraft's version of the Battle Judge to oversee their unsanctioned battles.
Commissions
click to show spoiler
ZBC (Zoid Battle Commission) - Commission that oversees and regulates the Zoid battles. They use Battle Judges to do this.
Back draft Group - Radical commission of Zoid fighters, they use more dangerous and "illegal" maneuvers to make the fights more interesting for the people who bid on the battles and to tilt the odds in their favor. Teams that accept their challenges face large sums of prize money if they win, but loosing all their Zoids if they loose.
Guardian Force - Joint program established by both the Republic and Empire in order to protect the peace and stability of their nations.
Weapon Types

Pulse Laser Gun
click to show spoiler
- weapons that feature pulse laser ammo, featured on the Geno Saurer and the Elephander. Combined with a Charged Particle Cannon, they are capable of neutralizing shields.
Hyper Laser Cannon - High-powered laser cannon, medium firing rate.
AZ-70mm Laser Vulcan Gun - Powerful Gatling unit used on the Shadowfox.
AZ-50mm Dual Barrel Rifle - Back-mounted long range rifle, used primarily on Command Wolves
Shock Cannon - Featured on Saber Tigers and Shield Ligers, usually with 3 barrels. Liger Zero is equipped with a double-barrel (dual) Shock Cannon, which was salvaged from a destroyed Saber Tiger.
Assault Gatling Unit - Weapon used for the Elephander, it is both a gatling gun and a 16-shot missile launcher.
Plasma Particle Cannon - the legalized or powered-down version of the Charged Particle Cannon, it is a heavy weapon that requires a stable platform such as a Cannon Tortoise. Leaved trace plasma particles on targets, even if the beam does not directly hit.
Charged Particle Cannon - (Charged Particle Gun/Beam Gun). Probably the most destructive weapon on Zi, it has the power to wipe out the planet, but requires a specialized Zoid in order to use it. Most Zoids that use it require foot-locks to absorb the recoil, a special Charged Particle Intake or Converter to create the charged particles, and coolant vents to discharge the intense heat created by the weapon.
Charged Particle Intake Fan - Mounted on the back of a Zoids capable of firing a Charged Particle Cannon, it is used to generate the charged particles needed to fire. It is also the main weakness of the cannon, as the fan can be jammed, and prevent the cannon from gathering the charged particles necessary to fire.
Charged Particle Converter - A step above the intake fan, it does not have the weakness of being jammed like its predecessor.
Hybrid Cannon - Not as powerful as a Charged Particle Cannon, but is still a lethal weapon, which has tremendous recoil. Requires a highly stable platform to operate.
Buster Cannon - Intended for the Godulas, but was used on the multi-platform Shadowfox. Very powerful, but very heavy.
Electrical Particle Blades - Blades featured on the Blade Liger and Blade Liger Similacrum. Have the ability to generate Electrical Lasers for long range attack. The Electrical Particles generated by the blades are able to neutralize Charged Particles, and is therefore the most effective tool for countering a Charged Particle Cannon.
Laser Blades - More common than their Electrical Particle counterparts, these blade don't have the neutralizing ability, but are more flexible, and therefore don't break as easily. Featured on the Schneider Equipment.
Organoids
click to show spoiler
Organoid - A Type of Zoid that is able to fuse with the core of another Zoid. By doing this, the fused Zoid's combat abilities, reflexes, speed, maneuverability, power and all other attributes increase dramatically - the Zoid reaches its full potential. Organoids are small Zoids, about 1 and a half times the size of a normal human, that look like T-rex's or dragons depending on the Organoid. Remnants of the Ancient Zoidians, they hold the memories of the Zoidians, therefore they almost always have a partner. Organoids tend to be smarter than normal Zoids as well. They also have the ability to evolve a Zoid to it's next level of evolution, in order to meet the fighting abilities of the pilot/partner.
Organoid System - (note: there are two theories about this)
1. The result of an Organoid permanently fusing with a Zoid's core.
2. An "artificial Organoid" created in an attempt to replicate the
Organoid's abilities.
Either theory results in an Ultimate X Zoid. The Zoid is smarter than a normal Zoid, and like an Organoid has a partner, who it is actually able to communicate with. The Organoid System allows the Zoid to memorize and predict its opponent’s moves. Even if an Ultimate X is defeated, its Organoid System will learn from its mistakes, and the Zoid will come back stronger than before. Ultimate X Zoids differ from normal Zoids and are the only ones of their kind. The currently known Ultimate X's are Liger Zero and Berserk Fury, each possessing an Organoid System.
Bio-stasis Pods - These pods were used to seal the few surviving Ancient Zoidains and their Organoids in a type of hibernation/suspended animation.
Ranks, Points, and Earnings

There are six ranks:
S- This rank goes to the 5 teams that qualify and pass the tournament at the end of the season. Those teams then go on and fight to try to win the Champion Cup.
A- This rank is for those teams that lose only rarely and are always on a winning streak. Points- 750
B- This rank is for teams that have a few winning streaks but have lost a few times. Points- 500
C- This rank is for the average team with about the same amount of wins and losses. Points- 250
D- The second lowest rank. Teams here have lost a lot but they have won some. Points- 100
E- The lowest rank possible. Most teams here are on a major losing streak. Points- 50
Points:
For every win a team has, they gain 10 points. For every loss they lose 25.
Earnings:
By winning a battle, a team makes money. That money pays for: the repairs to the Zoids, the upgrades to the Zoids, the paycheck of the pilots, and the up-keep of their base or transport. The average winnings for a battle are around 500,000. A brand new Zoid with weapons costs about 20,000,000, but that price is average. A rare Zoid can cost billions. I’m sure it doesn’t need to be said but you can’t be a Zoid warrior if you don’t have money. There are of course certain instances in which people come across Zoids on their travels. Because of the AI in the Zoids, they can be found wondering anywhere. Some people have found the rarest of Zoids just by wandering around in the desert.
There are some lower ranked teams that are willing to pay a large sum of money to fight a higher ranked team; sometimes paying out around 5 times the amount of average winnings.
