Anguish
A heart shrouded in flames
The memories of an eternal love
Feeling of joy and bliss scorched
Never to be quenched by the tears of heaven
A rose that once bloomed red turned black
Once it's laid upon the casket of my emotions
Dreams of rising like the phoenix shattered
The ashes that once revived turned cold
Angels once held my heart near
Now serpents of you poison my heart
As the venom seeps through my veins
A once beating heart stops frozen and black
Thoughts of love flee my mind
The hatred sets in and forms a devil
One who will take you heart straight to hell
Allowing you to feel the torment and anguish

Re: Anguish
this poem is filled with deep feelings of wrath / anger / revenge.
The feeling of a lost love... it hurts...
I was amazed on the way you put those feelings into words.
it shows the reality. The imagery is good too.
it was dark and so Good! :2thumbs:

Re: Anguish
Thanks raja_psyche for your wonderful comment! I took the advice that I got from the clan members here and allowed memories of an old love take over and remind me of all the pain I went through!

Re: Anguish
Your poem is really deep and filled with the bitter feelings of a lost love. It really speaks to the reader and makes them feel the same emotions the speaker is feeling. Great poem, I really liked it ^^

Re: Anguish
Thank you for the awesome comment! I tried my best to put a lot of emotion into my poem and everything else kind of just falls into place!
