Writer's Ambition
Writer's Ambition
Constantly blocked by thought of reality
Inspiration tries to run through my mind
My pen begins to move and words start to flow
Words and phrases pieced together to make a poem
You never see me out there doing my own thing
Only at home with my book and pen
The only thing you would begin to think
Is poor boy all he does is work
Each line laced and formed with my emotions
In hopes of trying to execute each line perfectly
Keeping and open mind for new thoughts and ideas
Comments and critiques come from each one of my peers
From thought of lost love to poems of joy
To feelings of darkness and words of grief
Every second spent searching my mind
With the dream of ambition as my guide
I had some help on this one from my buddy fma1012, and I hope that you all like it!

Re: Writer's Ambition
The last stanza was absolutely beautiful. I felt a completion in the poem.

Re: Writer's Ambition
Thank You Sensi! I honestly had trouble writing this poem, but I guess it worked out in the end!
