You're wrong. The term used for "Death God" or "Soul Reaper" in the anime is Shinigami, which literaly translates into Death God(s).

Bleach is also a JAPANESE anime. Which makes all JAPANESE terms correct first before the English translation/adaptations.

Just because you read the Bleach manga published by Viz Media, or watch it on YTV, doesn't mean that the version you're watching/reading is accurate to what it was in Japanese.

Also, your user name is spelled wrong.

yes i know my name its spelled wrong thats how me and my firends(the ones who call me that) spell it. Shinigami is what thay r yes but thay dont say the thay eather say death god or soul reaper it just depenes on what kind your looking at and how can something be inaccurate when it was made in Japanese. hummmm....

the correct answer is death god because the jap ver. is the orgional and that is what counts as the real answer. Not to mention the term soul reapor means the same as death god(or type of grim reaper).So in the end yes dath god would be what they are.

Well i like Death God but i hink they should make it Shigami thats he best in my opion because when you hear it you think cool name and you know what it means of course it means somebody who takes peoples souls and thats my opion.

KUBOTITE INTENDED THE MEANING OF "SHINIGAMI" TO BE "SOUL REAPER".

Therefore the Bleach version of Shinigami does NOT mean "death god". The author intended it to be "soul reaper".

Yes, essentially it does all mean the same thing, but this is an exception in the sense that an author has literary freedom to change definitions of terms as well as the ability to label his creations whichever way he wants to rather than what the general public wants.

Death god is cooler to me than soul reaper but it wouldn't be a problem to hear the other .. actually there's no point of discussing this as we'll never take a prompt choice about it ...
