It's not so much because of popularity, the problem is they caught up to the manga and so they have to make something else up or put it on hold. Obviously they'd rather keep making money.Quote:

Actually, filler or not I've enjoyed this arc to some degree. Much better than the Naruto fillers, which I hate but I still watch. Many people don't like fillers and I can understand why...but I wish that more would understand that in some cases they are a necessity.
Actually....now that I think of it Bleach is the only anime which I've seen that had a filler episode within a filler arc.
What is a filler episode within a filler arc? It's an episode which has little/nothing to do with the filler arc and does nothing at all to advance the story.
Episode 80.
that i did not vegeta...i didnt actually noticed that...i know there were some filler eps within the soul society arc. But definitely the fillers in bleach are more enjoyable than naruto since it's connected and not random plus it's still got comedy like when Cloud says renji's shikai looks like a typical villain's weapon XD.
I'm not going to saying the fillers are bad. I do think they get in the way of the story though. The Bleach fillers have been quite entertaining though. Although it has nothing to do with the story it still carries the same effect as the first episodes of Bleach. The plot holds the same plot twists and action. The filler series is following the same basic plot outline as the first part. If it does follow the same outline I think at the end of the fillers something totally unexpected will happen that will connect it back to main story. But this is just one of my theories.
I don't really mind Bleach's filler arc, it is more interesting than Naruto's filler arc.
well fillers are ending in january i read on bleach7.com
That's true it was mentioned in another thread but not in this one. The fillers end in January and the story gets back on track. I can't wait til then. The manga has turned out well so far and I expect good things from the anime.
