In a fight between the captains of soul society(not counting General Yamato, and Aizen.) who would come out on top?
In my personal opinion i think that Tousheru stands a good chance of winning in the fight. Using his shika and bankai he can freeze and shatter his eneimes.

Another person i believe that stands a good chance of winning would be ether Jūshirō Ukitake or Shunsui Kyōraku I say this because General Commander Yamato say that they were his best students. As well as the fact that Besides Yamato himself they are the oldest captians in Soul Society.

I think it would come down to kenpachi and baukya. and between that fight i think that kenpachi would win cause he does not think that many things hurt and he can take a lot of hits and i have not even seen baukya fight yet and kanpachi owns when he fights he would be better if he knew hes swords name.

If its a big fray then it would be hard to tell because I belive that there would be some Captains that would form alliances. To start it out I belive that they would team up and immeadiatly take out byakuya and zaraki since their the strongest and then from there it would just dwindle down. I'd probably put my money on the Captain of squad 4 because shes smart enough to avoid the fights if she can and then she could heal herself and take out the stragglers at the end.

no i would have to say that zaraki or byakuya are the best because zaraki is just a so strong even not nowing his swords name. the guy even trys to give his enemys help. and byakuya just own and could take out people at ones with his bonki.

Yamamoto's 2 students Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake are probably the strongest of the Gotei 13 right now except for Yamamoto himself of course.

So it's between those two then. In a fight Shunsui would probably win in the end because Ukitake has his weak health problem.

I was about to say the same thing Hassun. Shunsui and Jūshirō are the strongest after squad 1 captain. And by far, That would mean that Shunsui is far more powerful than all of them because I don't believe we even see his shikai.

The winner is Kenpachi Zaraki. I think some of the other captians wouldn't even dare to stand against him, seeing as it would mean practically signing their own death warrant. Zaraki not only has the physical prowess, but his intimidating appearance may shake the confidence of people like Retsu, and maybe even Kurotsuchi. Zaraki would probably defeat Byakuya only because I just can't see Bya attempt to take the life of Zaraki. There's something going on with those two...

but if its a big all at once fight, some captains have a clear advantage. for instance, byakuya could take out scores of them with his bankai, like a swarm or angry hornets. ouch.

but in terms of shear skill, im with hassun and shadow-san.

Yeah, some of the characters have a lot more chance against certain others. Like when you think logically, Soifon would easily kill Kenpachi since she doesn't need powerful attacks to kill. Just her speed and two hits in the same place. Zaraki often gets hit and rarely even tries to evade an attack, making him an easy prey for Soifon.
