he is definitely a strong character in this great work of anime. and to answer the question of what ichigo means it is this: the kanji form of ichigo means the one, protector. but the actual word ichigo means "strawberry". by the way this has to be one of best anime still running right now and i really like it...:fencing:
He going to become one of the strongest Shinigami and when he get full control with his Hollow Mask he maybe Undefeated :)

because itchigo when he transformend in reverse he became part hallow part soul reaper so that mask will never leave him oddly but true lator on from what i hear the part hallow part will come in handy lets hope i heard right
in the first manga it says Ichigo's name means strawberry because of his hair.
everyone makes fun of him because of it.
