Ichigo's name means "Ichi" for "One" and "Go" for "Protector." However, his name has a large number of associated puns. The most infamous is that Ichigo is also a homonym for "strawberry" (a reference to his hair color, strawberry blonde)

I think there's a convention in anime n manga where the character's personality is reflected in their names. But in this series, we see that Ichigo evolves into that role of a Death God.

mmm for the sake of others who have not watched bleach or have not reached that part yet i could say this. Soul Society have considered her to have committed a crime. Tht's all I can say.

Ichigo on the other hand truly lives up to his name as the Protector. Many times thro out the series. So keep watching it and enjoy it

The Japanese characters in those pictures are their names, Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia.

Ichigo kicks a$$. He's like... a much smarter version of Sakuragi Hanamichi, I'd say.

The word Ichigo means strawberry and has no referrance to the color or Mr. Kurasaki's hair. Tho the Author of bleach named him Ichigo for the shear irony that his hair is orange and Ichigo means Strawberry, tho i don't find it "haha" funny at all. Stawberry's arn't orange are they? -.-
Bleach is one of my current favorite anime/manga's.

well according to the info i got that Ichigo's hair is Strawberry blonde so i dunno about that to be honest. But as Ikkaku commented on Ichigo's name, he said that those with Ichi in their name are handsome and bursting with talent. Which of coz turns out to be true.

Also, the nickname that Ichigo's little sister calls him is also a pun... 'Ichi-nii' is a shortening of both the name 'Ichigo', and Big Brother 'Oh-niisan', merged together (Big Brother Ichi) but Ichi-nii' can also be interpreted as the count 'One, Two'...

All I have to say is Ichigo's one of the most dangerous hero's i've seen in a long time. Although he is a little... unstable... Reguardless it just gives the anime that much more flavor.

i kinda agree with you there since he lets his emotions get in the way sometimes and not to mention that he's always in conflict in his own world and stuff. So i wouldnt be surprised if he went totally berserk at one point or another.
