it had better be Rukia, she is always there for him and she is so tough and durable. Props to Orihime for taking on the responibility she has but Rukia is the best. Though I have a bias.

Byakuya take his power, cause in the soul society they are not allowed to lend some powers to human being. Then Ichigo is a natural shinigami that's sleep, and rukia awaken that shinigami soul of Ichigo. And on my own opinion Orihime was quit a good tandem. Cause Renjie is inlove with rukia.

In all my honesty I must say that Rukia is the most important to Ichigo if it was between Rukia and Orihime because Rukia was the one who gave him the shinigami powers and also that she was the one who mostly helped him while he was in trouble.

definitely Orihime because of her power to heal any wounds:smile:also because she goes to school with him and is in his everyday (normal) life.

I will also say that Rukia is more important. Rukia is fantastic in looks.

Orihime because they have known eachother longer than ichigo and rukia, but then again ichigo wouldn't be a soul reaper if it wasn't for Rukia and he also wouldn't have gotten his Bankai if he never went to save her. for me its like 50/50 since he also went after orihime in Las Noches.:omg:

I believe that right now both of them of same importance to him. When Rukia was on trouble he didn't think 1 sec and go straight to help. Same with Orihime. Ichigo is one of those natural good guys who cant watch helpless in trouble.
However maybe later he develop some romantic story with one of them which would decide on this question.

Ichigo went to Soul Society to save Rukia somewhat out of an obligation, because she helped him protect his family (and because he saw her execution as an injustice).
Ichigo went to Hueco Mundo to save Orihime because he wants that chick! Not only did he master hollowfication to protect her, but he took it to another level for her!
Rukia set him on the path of a shinigami, but he took routes Soul Society looks down on to save Orihime.
