20th Anniversary DVD Announced!!!

In anticipation of the live action Tranformers movie that comes out next year, Sony Entertainment has announced the 20th Anniversary DVD edition of the original 'Transformers' Movie, to be released in early November... The official website is located here...

Having viewed the re-mastering they did of the movie, I have to say they did a great job. The colors look 10 times better and the sound is much nicer than the origonal DVD and the various extras sound really fun. Didn't get to see those unfortunatly.

im defantly going to buy this it ones of my top 3 animes to buy im glad there releasing this since i cant find it anywhere yet, and i like the sound quality and pictures also very awesome

Yeh, I think we'll all be pleasantly suprised by the quality of the 20th Anniversary DVD edition. It will also be a sample of what we can expect in the upcoming Transformers Movie in 2007.

A lot has chnaged since the original Transformers movie. I think to watch it next year in the cinemas will be totally awesome with the sound, graphics and special effects.

I'm looking forward to this. I haven't seen the original movie in ages. It will be nice to relive childhood memories. Plus, like someone mentioned before, gives a taste of what the new movie is going to be like.

Can’t wait for this version to be released., said to have been vividly remastered and color corrected. The Death of Optimus Prime featurette and the deleted scenes have me so excited. It’s not often a 20-year-old film puts deleted scenes on the DVD. I preordered from Amazon they ship on date of release so I shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.

I am so excited about this release! I watched these with my son as he was growing up. he even had transformers sneakers when he was younger! He has a December birthday and I will be getting this for him for sure!

If you haven't yet, check out that link! No only does the remastering look great, the list of special features is phenominal! I'm also highly impressed with the artwork. I was already excited for this movie but after seeing all that I want to watch it now!

wow thats cool!! my kids will love this and with christmas right around the corner it certainly gives me another idea for a gift under the tree, I will have to see if I can find it when it is released

Thanks for posting! I have a friend that would love this and I have been trying to figure out what I was going to buy him for christmas this year, so if he doesnt beat me to it I guess this will solve that problem!
